WE’VE LOST TWO IN A ROW AFTER WINNING 6 ON THE SPIN. GET RID! SACK THE MANAGER! TEAR UP THE WHOLE PROJECT AND START AGAIN! BURN THE AMEX TO THE GROUND!!

It really does astonish me time and time again how utterly thick a sizeable proportion of football fans are.

I was probably more leaning towards Fab Out after the 7-0. People blaming him for that and wanting him out now get a f*cking grip, there’s only so much he can do with that squad. In all reality he didn’t have anything which could have impacted the game off the bench, except players who are average at best.

Bad day at the office after several good weeks
Still 8th I know I said out earlier on in the
Season but anyone calling for the managers head after todays defeat is on a wind up
The guy manages like an excitable child how TB still trusts him is baffling.
Against Villa we need to get back in the game and he makes defensive subs, against Palace we need back in the game and he throws on a load of attackers with twenty minutes to go, we then have no shape JPVH is forced to make three or four last ditch tackles as the midfield is non existent. A chance of a cup semi final and he picks three youngsters to take pens great management that.
Only good as your last game in football.

Pretty sure a few weeks ago according to some we had the best second XI in the PL, unless I dreamt that.

Incredible if anyone thought that. At CB and FB, the back ups are way behind in quality. Losing any of Rutter, Baleba, Webster or JPVH would be a huge blow.

Villa, ManC, Chelsea and Arsenal have spent several times us in wages/fees on superior squads.

It's true. I didn't know.

But it happened, ay?

But I get your point. Just because I think something it doesn't mean it will happen. Like pre-Villa I was certain we would lose 4-0 and Asencio would score two but that didn't actually happen. It was 3-0 and he only scored one.
Are you Mystic Meg, but with a slight maths problem?

Looks rather naive at times. Pretty understandable when he has come from the equivalent of League One. Massive gamble which has resulted in an experimental season of inconsistency. Seems to get them motivated for mini runs then we dip again.
Injuries have played a part but we have so many team changes. Does anyone know our best starting eleven.?
The summer recruitment now looks flawed. So many questions still unanswered. Quantity over quality. Today was poor after two more disappointing displays. Why? One minute we look on top of our game next we look clueless.
I am concerned this could be confused messaging.
The season is over now. So expect even more experimentation.

I’ve been trying to bang this drum all season, but people have deluded themselves with the quality of our depth this season. It isn’t good enough, and there’s not a single player with the same quality as Gross

Did people argue against you on that? TB hasn’t given us quality cover in every position able to win any PL game with whatever XI we start with. There are lots of work in progresses, calculated punts for the future.

Many say that 2022/23 was best ever XI, 2024/25 our best squad. But miles behind Villa etc.

That’s an incredibly basic reply, few teams have a player who can provide the same output as Groß, it was inevitable that he’d be missed and exceptionally hard to replace.

I'm going to say something rather controversial, but I really rate Gruda. He's young. Everyone is young.

The manager is still finding his feet but another criticism I have is that apart from Bart I think not knowing the first 11 is a bit detrimental. Rotation is to be admired but it's not like this has saved us from injuries or anything. Brajan Gruda is a very talented footballer but as with any of these kids they need a good run in the team. Dare I say, Weiffer too. It's difficult if everyone is always rotating.

See the season out, give FH a good summer window and training camp and hopefully next season we have a more solid base to work from in terms of first XI.

Is it f***.
We have (again!) injuries - think Webster and Rutter - in the latter stages of a season. We are, whether people (fans?) like it or not, still only 5....yep...5 points off a CL position* with 21 points still to play for.
*No, I'm not expecting that, but we are still in with a serious shout at Europe - gird your effing loins.

Personally I think we moved Pascal on at the right time. Naturally missed but time to bleed in the next gen...not without it's problems ofc. Pascal was very good for us.

(Also, just bc I haven't see it anywhere else on here today, Danny Welbeck is now our record PL goalscorer (taking the mantle from Pascal). Not sure many would have thought that when we signed him on a free from championship Watford. Well done Danny. 🏆)

I just think until we get a player of that quality we are going to struggle to push the top 6. Every game we drop points this season, I think last season who provided the quality to win/draw the game and it was pascal. I just think we’ve attempted to replace that quality and got absolutely nowhere near it.

Some people need to get it out of their system. Let them do it.

As a collective we veer from Fab being The best manager ever to him being a tactically naive simpleton. The answer of course is somewhere in the middle and will continue to be so.

The rest of the season is going to be a struggle with injuries and reactionary supports who will ignore them.

I think the starting XI is fairly obvious with one or two positions where players are fighting for their place (e.g Ayari/Gomez). Fabs understanding of who he wants on the pitch is clear, only injuries are disrupting this.

I’m going to praise Graham Potter here which admittedly even I’m shocked by, I think we’ve suffered this season with having too large a squad. GP always said he liked a smaller squad, so he knew what was available and what to pick. I think there’s too much of a tactical headache at times and too many options. Barber has spoken about Evolution not Revolution, and I think this summer has verged too much to the latter, and disrupted things. For as good as Gruda is, what does he bring as opposed to Buonanotte or Enciso, a lot to learn this summer.

I disagree, I think we need a few more attacking midfielders to complete the squad.

Already good , most of them . Not really improved al that much . It doesn’t compare to early Rdz
Ayari - Underwhelming Championship loan to good player in the Premier League.
Van Hecke - Inconsistent player with potential who has become a starter for the Netherlands under Hurzeler
Webster - Washed, not good enough, get rid to absolutely key to our defence.
Igor - Awful De Zerbi signing who should be shipped out into a player we massively miss and was doing great for us.
Baleba - Raw talent who ran around like a headless chicken, now one of the world's top defensive midfield prospects who runs the show most games.
Welbeck - inconsistent forward who has never been the starting striker for any club he's played for into an absolute leader who scores crucial goals again and again whilst leading the line.

You're massively letting your Hurzeler bias cloud any reasonable thought, he's improved plenty of players.
