Very interesting that he recently said he played Pierre-Emil Höjberg despite warnings and recommendations not to do it.

"Pierre-Emile Højbjerg's injury occurred because he played against Lens. And there, perhaps it was my fault, I didn't protect him. I didn't have the "strength" to oppose the player's wishes despite the doctors' warning."

Kind of makes you wonder.
I’m 90% sure this happened with Enciso and Ferguson last season.

Like I've said, a psycho narcissist.

Just like in Brighton, he believes he is the star of the show and bigger than the club. No difference there.

Unlike in Brighton, however, people won't agree.

I wasn’t told specifically those two, but the former it was alluded to. Mitoma just got unlucky.
We all saw it happen to Estupinan and the Japan national team were not happy about Mitoma.

And I said it at the time before he got his injuries and will repeat it again, RDZ overplayed Ferguson from the moment he broke through into the team. He was too young and too big to play as much intense, top level football as he did for Brighton and Ireland then whilst he was still developing. The injuries were inevitable.

De Zerbi always knows best. He knows better than Bloom and Barber about how to run a football club, and he knows better than the medical/S&C staff about when a player is redlining and at risk of injury and should have his minutes managed/be rested.

But thousands made it clear after the United game that they wanted him to stay

And Estupinan. And Mitoma.
Interesting, because Enciso’s knee injury was early on and not really the sort of thing you can play through. However, we saw it with Ferguson and IIRC Estupinian came on against Ajax when he shouldn’t have. For me Pervis was the player whose injury was most mis managed, though with the caveat that our only alternatives at left back were Milner or Igor.

But he doesn't know as much as Donald Trump. No-one knows more about football clubs than him. He's the biggliest knower of football club running in the world, ever.

That was a bit wierd afternoon. A divorce party held in front of thousands of people but with both protagonists present.

PBOBE and TB’s faces were interesting during the post match love in too.
Although you got an ironic laughing smiley @Flounce you are absolutely correct. RDZ left with the North Stand in appreciative song and with a "thank you Mister" banner. Had more than one song (I still don't think Fab's got one), a t-shirt range, a mural. He was hugely popular.

He is, currently, however, being a horses arse and I suspect TB was watching him in front of the Norf thinking "hurry up and clear your draws out you misery guts".

The Maupay comments from the press session are interesting to say the least. Taking responsibility for his own poor performance. Explaining he is happy there and defending the team and manager.

I loved RDZ, but that seems to sum things up neatly.

14 months would be shocking, think thats probably twice as long as the average Serie A manager tenure.
It would be such a culture clash (already is with Zlatan). He's much more of a Inter person.

Sacked by Marseille in the summer, 3 months in Milano and then taking over a struggling Sassuolo in November or December.
Yeah I was being a little kind wasn't I?

Andy Naylor frequently corrected the matter on Estupinan, he was fit, but then picked up a completely new injury in that game.

If I recall didn't RDZ say he ignored medical advice and risked Welbeck against Palace once, and it paid off with a stunning injury time header. Who complained then?

Two sides to every argument. Players playing through pain when desperate is nothing new here, unless people are desperate to force a weird agenda. But of course, most people can see the main reason for our drop off last year was an injury crisis, so of course the haters have to try to pin that on him as well. So weird.
