I expect to lose unless the Football Wheel of Good Fortune makes a massive turn in our favour.

I'd be absolutely astonished if we get anything other than an absolute hiding. The body language last night was pathetic.

Who would have thought losing Adam Webster would kill our season

Selhurst is hardly a fortress for Palace, 4 wins in 15 for them. Hammered Villa admittedly, but only other wins were narrow ones against Soton, Ipswich and Spurs.

Clutching at straws maybe but they are much more effective away from home, we can definitely get something.

Fab will tell the boys to get stuck in and be over physical. Three or four Palace players wont play another game this season if the plan works.

Palace beat Villa 4-1 at Selhurst a few weeks ago...
It was 2-1 after 90 minutes. Two goals in stoppage time vastly skewed the scoreline. After the match Emery described it as their worst performance of the season or words to that effect.

Palace are far from shit but if you offered me the choice of which one to play I'd pick Palace over Villa. It's the BS that surrounds this game which makes them seem worse opponents than they really are.

If FH sets us up to play with a high line again and to try and play them off the park then "NO" I expect to lose. If however he sets us up to play like the 7 games post Forest thrashing then I think we will win.
Don't go back to pre Forest ways FH as you have last 2 games. Sitting deeper and being compact whilst hitting teams hard and fast on the counter attack is clearly the way we get results

Finish 10th and we'll struggle to keep the cream of this squad
I'm not so sure . . . . The previous gang took a few years to come good before they had their heads turned . . . .TB won't sell cheap, and top dollar isn't around for promising works in progress. . . . .

Top ten this season, europe next . . . . That's when the problem starts

we'll lose Jao Pedro this summer, that's all.

They are so much physically stronger than us , I think we will get bullied and will lucky to get a draw
Only if we play our ‘weak’ players. Start Adringa and Ayari and we might as well not bother kicking off. Start Minteh and Gomez or Wieffer and we look very different.

Jack, JP, Dunk, Pervis
Minteh, Gomez, Baleba, Mitoma
Pedro
Welbeck

That outfield doesn’t get bullied.

They will, because they are 1 short.

Expect - NO. Hope - YES.
The one and only sensible take. Imagine going there expecting points.

I have expectations on getting or not getting results maybe three or four times a season. We play the worst team: I expect something. We play the best team: I expect nothing.

Aside from those expectations, that both by the way frequently turn out wrong, I've watched enough football teams win or lose games to know there's little difference between "expectations" and "delusions/guesses".

Expecting points against Palace or anyone just seems like self-harm, planting seeds of mental misery or subjugated joy for no good reason.

The traditional and obligatory 1-1.
We seem to be better – and like – playing away from home.

This is of course dependent on how FH sets us up.
High-line nonsense or lightweight midfield and I think it could be a depressing afternoon.
