We’re just leaving west Worthing now and the car’s sat nav, Waze, google maps and Apple Maps all reckons 40-50 mins which seems infeasible.

@17.10, took 20min Pyecombe to Mill Road. Parked (half full by then). Now in jam from Dyke to A23 turnoff. Going to be a long time yet before we reach Amex. Lots horn blasting in frustration in all directions!

Only delay over the beacon was cyclists stopped in the road.
Waiting for this guy to pop up and post about the fact he managed to get from Lancing to the Amex no trouble at all. It’s just careful route planning and he knows better than everyone else.

Mill Road P&R took 20-25mins to arrive at Amex so not that bad.

Because vast numbers haven’t bothered with this one. More than usual.
This, coach joined the A27 at the A23 junction. Once on the A27 traffic moved at a moderate speed, (no stopping). Queue on slip road at Falmer was quieter than normal. Overall journey took roughly the same as normal.

Home tonight in record time albeit seemed to be about 5mins ahead of numerous motorway exit and lane closures.

we left worthing by car at 6.15 and went the usual way straight through the roadworks & walked into west upper at 7.20.
So it took us 65 mins last night and usually it takes 45 mins, so the roadworks added 20 mins - not too bad given all the prematch horror predictions

I left home at 1800 from Rustington travelling by motorcycle. Still took me twice as long as normal to get to the ground. Got there 1900. Could have been quicker but the amount of drivers who just won't let me filter is annoying. It is perfectly legal to filter in this country, I'm not slowing down your journey in any way what so ever. Just move over to the left a tad and let me through PLEASE! To those who are aware and let me through, thank you, I always give a raised hand to say thank you....
