The Police have already made a statement advising people to expect disruption, so I think it unlikely the works will be cancelled at this late stage?
A27 between Patcham and Falmer isn't it? Falmer to Lewes should be fine.

Whoever said 8 weeks is about right , they have installed metal crash barriers to prevent cars getting in the workspace -- they are bolted down ! -there after the end of the season thats for sure

Unfortunately the one lane open eastbound will be blocked by the queue from the hollingbury slip road, as per normal. Nothing will move.
