What if the Villa team coach gets stuck in it and they can't fulfil the fixture? We get the points, right?
They turned up late to a previous game at the Amex, resulting in the kick off being delayed.

They won, obviously.

I come from Lewes and park at uni, but seriously reconsidering attendance tonight... If they close the A27 both ways, I can't see how anything other than utter gridlock around the stadium for hours after the match will ensue. Surely that can't be right!?

A27 between Patcham and Falmer isn't it? Falmer to Lewes should be fine.

Neither here nor there
Plane gets into Gatwick North Terminal at 6.05pm. No checked luggage, parked in long stay. Parking at Sussex Uni for the game. What are my chances of getting to my seat before half time?

You want to take the cross-country route - the light blue line in the below, don't you?

It will be like the last time they did this, the match will start 45 minutes after they arrive at the Amex.

I'd be parking at Brighton station and getting the train if I were you. 6.50 after 6pm.

Tomorrow night - journey from Worthing to Sussex Uni parking - is going to be horrific, isn't it?
yes to put it bluntly.
Whoever said 8 weeks is about right , they have installed metal crash barriers to prevent cars getting in the workspace -- they are bolted down ! -there after the end of the season thats for sure

“However, as we always do, we factored this evening’s match into our planning and the works have been paused for tonight to minimise disruption.
“Therefore, two lanes will remain open westbound this evening (and lane one open eastbound).”
Unfortunately the one lane open eastbound will be blocked by the queue from the hollingbury slip road, as per normal. Nothing will move.
