Attwell

Hooper - 4th official

I’ll get it in now…..

Attwell was shocking.

Bit unnecessary of Hooper to get Fab booked again for stepping outside of the technical area…….
Albion's league record under Attwell in the last five years:

P- 14 W- 8 D- 5 L- 1

Now if that kind of ref is bad.... :ROFLMAO:

What official the PL gives you is like choosing between a punch in the face or a kick in the balls.

A successful Villa is more lucrative for the PL than a successful Brighton. They will get every decision
Of course, a bit like when he sent off Joao Cancelo in that match we came back in to beat Manchester City...

Attwell is by a million miles the worst ref for us. I'm genuinely convinced he has a mental block against us - there are just too many examples of utterly incomprehensible decisions even if it doesnt always mean we lose. I feared we would get him against Palace so I'm thankful for that at least. Let's see how many 50/50 decisions go in our favour tomorrow.

Bad does not cover him in April 23 at WHL where along with Salisbury on VAR we were 100% cheated

I expect every 50/50 go to Villa along with a blind eye to the shenanigans if they take the lead and go shitehouse.

But which impartial observer will you get to make that decision? Or is the idea that a fervent Albion fan will be able to make a fair judgement? :)

Attwell is OK IMO (I've done it now....) he cannot be any worse than that limp lettuce of a ref on Saturday (I've done it again.....)
I think Attwell is one of the two worst, the other being Salisbury.
Hooper has improved (a little) in the last couple of seasons.
Bankes was poor on Saturday, without doubt. He did seem very keen to give Forest free kicks but not to give Brighton free kicks for identical "offences".

I'm happy to take the job 😁. But maybe the same impartial observers who without exception said his sending off of Baleba at Plucky was incorrect, or the ones who had to apologise for his performance at Spurs or the ones who wondered why Attwell on VAR (v Villa of course) didn't give offside for this player clearly interfering with play or who deemed the clear foul on March in the same game was somehow in a different phase. And these are amongst many many examples over the years.

Yes, that’s kind of why I started the thread….

Hadn’t realised our record until @Eeyore had posted though….

Anyone who thinks Atwell has been a decent ref against us probably hasn’t actually been at a game he’s reffed or been on VAR for, he has either f***ed us over or tried to regardless of the end result pretty well every time he has been involved

All referees are (allegedly) against Brighton so why does it matter?
