I think on balance that's a badly missed opportunity. Again. Curiously not at it at all in normal time, flickered briefly into life towards the end of ET. Too little, much too late.

Never deserved to win that. Biggest concern is trying to pick the guys up for Wednesday. Few injuries, going over 120 mins, losing... Gonna take some effort to get over it so quickly.

Well. We sure showed them after the 7-0 mauling. Really poor first half.
Gutted. Hinshelwood penalty was really poor. The top 5 is not unachievable. Europa would be great. I hope Georginho is not out for the season. The players will have to step up into his position if they want to achieve something.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing fella. There will be loads of reactive comments, it's a missed opportunity but my god these are good days as a Brighton fan.

Have always hated penalty shootouts, about as much as playoffs. Both manky.

This is to be expected with the youth and lack of high pressure experience in our squad - to have quality and mentality you pay £££s and even then it doesn’t work out sometimes (see high profile names like Casemiro at Manchester United).
Disappointed as this was a rare chance at silverware for us, plus the injuries have a real chance to hurt our run-in and European hunt

Good point. Hinshelwood should not be taking third if that's his penalty. Short run up and side foot bobbler.

I think this will epitomise our season. We are good, not great, and we will just miss out on everything (Wembley, Europe). We are not as good as we were under De Zerbi that year, and that's okay. Obviously we wish we were, but we're not, and I'm content with that, as rubbish as it feels in this moment.

i blame FH for allowing Hinsh to take the penalty. Hes as wee little lad who has never shown he has a massive powerful shot in him. Woulda thought Adingra over Hinsh any day.
