Yes, it’s cutting your losses ( or if we are being precise, making a small profit) on a player where we don’t think they’ll make our first team on a regular basis.
No harm in that. All these small profit scenarios add up. If we’ve made a million pounds on Barco that’s not to be sniffed at. Same sort of figures to McConville and BBB. All outright profit. You don’t make £100m on a Caicedo scenario every window.
Also, were getting the wages off the balance sheet.

I think you have a point this season is over for us its mid table mediocrity as such a bit of a clear out saves on wages maybe moves a couple of unsettling individuals on while for others giving some game time to improve

I refuse to believe he’s a worse LB than Lamptey.
No he’s a lot worse. Can’t keep the ball, which is fine he’s a youngster blah blah blah but miles off what we need. Got a lot of kind comments for just whacking in a lot of inaccurate crosses, good we’ve moved on

Started yesterday in a 2-0 win against the bottom club, Montpellier. Got 6/10 in L'Équipe which is equivalent to a 7 or 8 in the UK media.

He has come into a potentially big club whose fans are angry about being a feeder club to Chelsea. One of the most fanatical fanbases but an unstable club.

I wonder what happens with the obligation if the players decides he doesn't want to move. Maybe he has already agreed a contract with them?

Otherwise I could see him turning them down. He's been absolutely brilliant.

How’s he got on so far, outside of today’s game?

I assume it's moot at that point. Nobody can force him to sign a contract if he doesn't want to.

Been excellent both as LWB in front of a back three and when playing in central midfield. Gets a lot of freedom and seems to thrive with it.
Does that mean the obligation to buy was a dumb move by the club?
It looks that way.

But I'm thinking maybe he's already signed a pre-contract.

Other than Romano, have we had any credible journalist sources confirm there is an obligation to buy included?

I can tell you one thing: there is no way on earth he's coming back here.
