By a brilliant part of “not knowing what’s coming up”. The first round of the ex Birchwood ( Sussex handicap golf tournament) is on the same date as the Saturday of the FA Cup semi final and the second round ( should we get through) is FA Cup final Saturday

so if we win on Saturday a few of us local golfers will be hoping the semi final at wembereeee will be on the Sunday otherwise there will be a decision to be made. ( we at Brighton and hove GC have drawn Littlehampton away on the Saturday)

FA Cup Final is 30,500 per club, going on the last two years. So all STH and My Albion, should that day come, will likely get one.
That’s interesting, I thought last time we were in the semi it was thought there wouldn’t be enough for the final to get to my Albion members so that’s good news if so! If it’s close I’d hope they did tiers for that - my points for Norwich should count for something 😁

I remember many many years ago the team I played for were in the semis of some Sussex Amateur cup and our star player was due to get married on the day of the final. He actually got permission to get married on the day, then go and play in the final, and go back to the reception afterwards 😲

We then got knocked out in the semis

There's a couple of NSCers who probably remember :lolol:

anyone know a way to get from haywrds heath to flamer on staurday with all these replacements
There are fairly frequent Rail Replacement buses between HH and Lewes but its timetabled as a 50 min journey (presumably because it will stop in a few places and go via Plumpton , Cooksbridge etc ) . Lewes > Falmer is as normal.

Incidentally, for a sellout game with no trains on the mainline, it's piss poor that there's no extra park and ride available. I hope the case that Pyecombe and EDF were unavailable, rather than penny pinching

Big away crowd, late kick off, lots of pre drinking and the buzz of the the terrace opening should make for a memorable atmosphere.

Drive to Lewes? No idea where you can park. Or drive to Brighton and park in the station car park. Or rail replacement buses or use a park and ride
Reasonable chance of on Road free parking 30-40 mins walk from station up several hills and inclines.
