Theres always a few bed wetters in every fan base (take a section of the Hurzeler comments on here a few weeks back and you would have thought that he was on his way out), but if thats genuinely the feeling amongst the majority of Marseille fans then Im astonished as they must have the most entitled fans in the world (after Leeds United and Chelsea fans) ! Their squad really isn't that great, certainly not good enough to challenge PSG, and it's still likely that they will qualify champions league.
Corrected for you.

To be fair some of the OM players are taking a lot of crap but this seems familiar

I dunno, if you watch the extended highlights L'OM were very much in the game until the third which was a poor own goal deep inside the L'OM six yard box. PSG are probably one of the two best sides in Europe at the moment and still unbeaten across all domestic competitions this season.

They'll get 2nd, be back in the Champions League and very likely qualify for the latter stages of the competition for the first time since 2011/12 next season by the nature of the new format. Compared to the position when RDZ came in, it's obviously a successful season.

Barely spent over £100m on like 10 players of something.
Only because no one else wanted half the bellends and misogynists he’s assembled down there.

I often think about that Roma away game in a similar light. Obviously, we were exploited time and again but his refusal to change meant that we did still create chances, and good ones too:

But that's the gamble of de Zerbi's football. One week you lose 4-0 to Luton, the next you beat Palace 4-1

100% completely agree. It's high-risk, extremely high-reward, and I loved that about us under RDZ. I remember leaving Kenilworth Road slightly stunned but not overly down about the Albion despite the result (and I've spent plenty an evening despairing because we've lost a game) only to finally get some reception outside the ground to see that the whole of the Albion faithful not at the ground had gone into complete meltdown.

On the Roma game in particular, on another night Welbeck could've easily scored a brace and those 2 very tight offsides might've gone our way and we'd have got a 2-2 draw. I don't look back at that game with any huge sadness - Roma were magnificent and it felt like a monumental challenge in the ground that evening even before a ball had been kicked, the best atmosphere of all four for me.

Sends a tingle of awe and excitement down my spine everytime I think of that pre-match atmosphere at the Stadio Olimpico that night. It was sensational. A wall of noise and a sea of flags, scarves, banners and pyro. Hard to think of a better atmosphere ever (I missed Marseille but did the other three). Our lot were just getting into our stride on the vocals I thought – super loud – and then the football lesson on the pitch began.

RDZ got rplenty of blame for Roma although did he expect an experienced Dunk to play like a Sunday league player? Probably not. Dunk must still have nightmares about Lukaku.

I did all four of the away games and, whilst Marseille was louder, Roma was the better atmosphere. It genuinely surprised me how seriously everyone at Roma took the game, both in the stands and on the pitch.

Having done Roma and Marseille, I still maintain the atmosphere at the latter was absolutely off the scale.

I've no doubt had I gone to Marseille I would say the same.
It looked incredible on TV and mates who did go say without hesitation it was THE best atmos ever.

Really annoyed I chose to not to go to it (could have easily gone) BUT I did do the other three which I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced. Also, I maintain that if I had gone to Marseille, then I would have talked myself out of doing Athens... and that 4 day mini-break, mad adventure in Athens with my boy, seeing us qualify was quite simply one of the best trips of my life. Let's hope we do it again!
