sticking with a road trip to Montreal instead this year.
My partner and I are heading to Toronto at the end of August, we got Oasis tickets and she has friends there. I haven't been before, but we are only in Toronto for a long weekend, then picking up a car and heading to Quebec via Ottawa & Montreal for a mini road trip.

Hoping to go in April and later in the year as well. Was going to do the World Cup next year regardless, ideally in all 3 hosting countries.

Having dated a Houstonian for over 5 years, it's quite possible to love a nation and its people whilst hating its current political trajectory.
Exactly…..otherwise I might have to emigrate to somewhere 😉

I’m going to Florida in September to hopefully see some rocket launches but also going to Canada in May so hoping to pick up a couple of pro Canada T shirts to wear in Florida!

Mrs WS went to the US numerous times in a previous life and loved it. We've been together nearly 20 years and as yet she's not managed to persuade me to go. I never have, don't and never will, want to go to such a backward country, even more so now, when there are far more exciting places in the world to visit that aren't populated by ignorant Americans.

Just got a bit more difficult (back to long queues in imigration) as I now can't renew my Global Entry, as British Citizens who are permanent residents of Mexico have seemingly become undesirables, likely AI at play.......which I have fallen foul of recently with several banks who also have put me in the undesirable bucket......

Agree .

I fulfilled a bucket list ambition of driving Route 66 last year. Without exception, we met friendly, helpful, decent people. First time I'd been back in twenty years .

Will be returning.

Last time I was in the USA was the midterms during Trumps first term, in some parts it didn’t feel particularly nice to be visiting

Yep.

I work for a US company and have some great colleagues. I might have to go there for work from time to time and that’s fine.

I find Trump repulsive but the country and Americana in general fascinating.
