Over 3 years on this thread and I have to pinch myself it has come to this. The massacres in Bucha and Irpin, the destruction of the theatre in Mariopol being used as a bomb shelter. The continuous bombing of essential energy infrastructure. The destruction of the dam on the Dnipro. The incessant bombing of hospitals, schools, colleges, playgrounds as well as residential apartment blocks.
And yet, here we are, with the supposed leader of the free world, whitewashing all of this, thinking he has some leverage over Putin, the epitome of a completely malevolent figure in international relations.
Trump is being played like a fool, as most of us knew he would, he had no leverage on Putin. He admires the c**t because that is how he'd like to rule. With no chance of being voted out, a compliant media and judiciary.
Thankfully in Europe we have a few who can see the reality. Whatever my domestic disagreements with Starmer I think he has played an absolute blinder internationally, both with the EU and his coalition of the willing. Tusk, Macron and the new German president deserve praise also. They can see the real enemy. Great to see Starmer spell put to Putin too that the non-compliant West still has teeth. We've sat here for too long accepting the threats from Peskov about escalation. About time he was told its a 2 way street.
