Despite having definitely seen him score at least one goal at Withdean in the few matches I went to in 2007, the chance for adult me to potentially witness a Bas Savage goal and moonwalk on the hallowed Woodside turf was too hard to resist, along with supporting a great cause. I shall be down there with my group I go to Albion games with as opposed to Welling away that day, and look forward to seeing a few familiar faces from here as well no doubt.
For anyone in town an hour before doors open at the ground (1pm), I'd highly recommend the Foresters micropub opposite the south side of West Worthing station (opens from midday) for a drink. Likely where I'll be for an hour or so before heading to the ground. The Brooksteed is also a great option and a little nearer the ground too.

Unfortunately this sort of thing is very few and far between.
I think Worthing have done their bit with the reduced hire fee for the stadium.
