Not being a movie goer. (last time in a cinema was being dragged to watch the original Mamma Mia film, kicking and screaming by the wife, so quite a few years ago now), my interest is more for actors/acresees whose main medium is tv.

Those that l admire most, many of them women for some reason, include the following.

Robert Lindsay
Bill Paterson
Kevin Whately
Tim Spall
John Thaw
Stephen Tompkinson
Arthur Lowe
Judi Dench
Eileen Atkins
Amanda Redman
Alun Armstrong
Miranda Hart
Sharon Duce
Sue Johnston
Phyllis Logan
Celia Imrie
Penelope Wilton

Plus many many more whose names don't come readily come to mind.

Erin Doherty.

Someone quite new to me, her recent excellence in both A Thousand Blows and Adolescence has been breathtaking.
Have never seen The Crown.

Hugh Grant.
Irritating in his early roles, majestic in his more recent.
Supports a decent football club ;)

I’m increasingly liking Jude Law in some of his recent roles.

Superb in The Order and The Nest.

And rather good in that folk horror drama thing he did about four years ago that had a 24hr long episode filmed in real time. Creepy.
