We know that, but that doesn't mean we don't produce fairly good managers every now and then. If HR is the right choice you'll never know, he could be out the door before Christmas. Like de Zerbi or anyone else, you just don't know. And that's what make it so fun, I think, you hope for the best!

Of course. I actually like the look of him despite admittedly only googling within the last 24 hours.

This is so true. I was once part of a group which got a random manager onto a next Albion manager betting market and also mentioned in the Argus vis a few phone calls asking for the odd and a few small bets. It’s nonsense.

After watching that video, I'm in!

I have a feeling that this different approach (which does seem to have traditional elements in it nonetheless) could be ideal for our players.

I may or may not have influenced Mark McGee (50/1) being added to the Paddy Power Market

Do people forget 3 years of dross? Hardly scoring longest losing run, one home win in a year. Or just beating a shit Leicester side 5-2 ?
They don't forget it, because it never happened. You persisting to retro-fit in a false narrative that he was a bad manager doesn't change the fact that he progressed us as a club considerably from the Hughton years and prior to 2022-23, delivered our highest EVER league position.

No-one is denying that he wasn't patchy, he was, and there were periods when we were very hard to watch indeed but without his stint in charge we don't attract De Zerbi (another manager you actively dislike IIRC).

I firmly sit in the "never go back" camp anyway but, come one man, change the record.

Close to each other in attack would suit us. I'd worry the Premier League would suss us out after 6 months, not better than, but at least as well as anywhere. Only a maybe though and hey I'd be excited about it (not that that's too difficult).

Also bonus points for the article mentioning Fernando Diniz

So is it a collective false memory that we only won 1 home game in a calendar year under Potter? Or that we had a stretch where our last 3 home wins were in 3 different calendar years?

Who was the up and coming but short of experience Swedish manager who was talked about 2 years ago. I can't remember and wanted to look him up to see his progression
