That VAR decision was interesting.

When Liverpool may have scored, I note that the frame is frozen at the point the player playing the pass makes first contact with the ball rather than with us (Everton away), once the ball has left our players boot (by a foot or two).
Indeed. This was clarified on here quite recently, and I was quite interested as I didn't know how they defined the 'touch'. Law 11 currently says:

So, tonight was right. Which makes the lines they drew at Goodison even more annoying - because they were after the ball had left Gross' foot altogether.
