Woodingdean - not helped by spotlight from the house at the back or the light from the Amex which is North of me. This is a 5 second exposure, f4 at iso3200 (with light boosted in light room) on a wide angle 15mm lens. Would be better to have something like an f2.8 to the reduce the shutter time and ISO to give a clearer , less grainy image but you have to make the best of what you have... Somewhere darker tonight.

It’s peaking again now. Look at the stars, and you may see what looks like whisps of clouds and then look through your phone lens. The camera picks up the greens more readily, but the red was easy to see with the naked eye. Try and get away from light pollution.
I did see a bit. I came back to read your reply and NSC wouldn't load for me!! 😮 I'm going to look tonight it's clouding up a bit here now though.

Activity appears to have died down on aurorawatch - are we still expecting a show tonight?
It’s not expected to be as active tonight so less likely to be seen in the South - but it’s unpredictable and if you can set a long exposure on your camera, head to a dark area, you could see some colour according to the Met Office - but my app has not gone to red at all this evening which means a comparatively low level of magnetic disturbance compared to last night.
