Makes a mockery of all the hype around us this season, and demonstrable evidence (if any was needed) of the cliff we’ve fallen off in the 2nd half of the season.

You do realise you are going down the entitled route don’t you? Shit happens in football and the reasons we have fallen off a cliff are well documented

This argument is worthless without our full squad competing with their full squad. They couldn’t win shit without their two best players.

Surely not ?

Albion - 47 points

Newcastle (A)
Chelsea (H)
Man Utd (H)

Max Points : 56
GD -4

Max Points

Them - 43 points

Wolves (A)
Villa (H)

GD -8

Max Points: 49

I think the only scenarios are :
- Palace win both - Albion lose all three - Palace: 49, Albion 47
- Palace draw one, win one - Albion lose all three - Palace overtake us on GD - Palace 47 , Albion 47
Regardless of the animosity (which I still don't understand and yes I was at THAT match) Palace look a great side after the appointment of the new manager.

There are quite a few more permutations.
  • If they win them both with a +4 GD, and we lose one and draw two - they would finish above us on goal difference (or they win by +2GD total, and the one we lose is by 3 goals - etc, etc)
  • If they win 2-0, and 1-0 - and we lose 0-1, draw 1-1, 1-1 (for example) they would finish above us on goals scored.

Funny that’s what Villa fans said about themselves before our game on Sunday. Brighton haven’t scored or won for ages we will give them a Christmas present no doubt🤣
One swallow and all that!

I know there were less than 1,000 of us at the Albions all time lowest ‘home crowd’ and often barely double that whilst I had my ST (both seasons) at Gillingham; plus thr 10 or so after that at Withdean so nah, don’t think you’ll ever be able to put me down as entitled :)

I think the lowest crowd was more like 1200 on a Champion’s League midweek night and I was there  Barnet?

I know a few who weren’t ever at Gillingham who are now crying like teenage girls bemoaning the break up of Take That because we have turned to shit recently, pleased to hear you’re not one of them

We are 11th. And there’s a decent chance we will finish in the top 10 for the third season in a row.
And - irksome as it is - The fact that Palace are finally winning a few games - is probably deserved - they spend more than us . Always have done.

With a bit of luck we could finish 6 points short of last seasons tally quite amazing really considering the injuries. I doubt we will win all three though yet you never know.

I just hope they sell Eze and Olise and fritter the money away in the summer like they normally do. Then they'll stay below us for the foreseeable.
Beaky will remortgage the club to keep them.
Zaha wages for them both.
He knows he can't afford not to.

From memory, the gate was just 1,025, and Barnet would have brought a bus load or so.
