Thats very silly. If I were to punch someone while in the penalty area while the ball is near the corner flag, is it not a foul? Being near the ball means f*** all and it always has.
If I was the ref, in that situation, i'd stop play, send you off, then give a drop ball

There's Luton gone. They've been by far the best of the three awful promoted sides though, Edwards has done a very good job in just keeping them in with a shout this long to be fair.

I don't think that should have been an Everton pen either as he was miles from the ball. But how was the one on Mcneil not given earlier in the game? The luton defender stood on the top of his foot, like the Mitoma non pen at Tottenham last season (PGMOL apology)

Serious question…… has the rule changed so that an offence is only an offence if it is committed close to/within playing distance of the ball?

Surely proximity to the ball is irrelevant in the penalty decision? A foul is a foul wherever the ball is, and if said foul is committed in the penalty area then it’s a penalty?

Happy to be corrected if there is a rule that says otherwise 🤷‍♂️

Arsenal vs Bournemouth. Predictably Arsenal are dominating, while Bournemouth are parking the bus and one of the most negative teams I've seen for a long time.

Arsenal struggling to breakdown Bournemouth despite a lot of possession.

That wasn't a penalty, but perhaps some justice for Ryan Christie not being sent off (or even booked) for kicking Saka in the knee earlier.
