There is something refreshing about watching this Ipswich team, and I am definitely enjoying the absence of VAR.

I binned off Villa vs Chelsea on the weekend and Bayern v Real tonight because the Ipswich battle vs Leeds is enthralling. It almost makes me miss the Championship.

Just far enough away from LDC
I've always had a soft spot for ipswich with a number of friends who support them and also having had some great days out following Brighton.

I was so happy seeing Ipswich win last night and the celebrations brought goose pimples,
I even felt like jumping ship lol.
Be glued to it Saturday that's for sure, and then tuning over to look at Elland Road when they hear Ipswich have got the point they need.Happy days hopefully.
Ipswich is a brilliant away day. Miles better than Leeds.

Looking forward to seeing what banners they bring to the Amex next season.

Very pleased to see them (almost certainly) pip The Leeds United to the post as well. Hopefully Leeds will flunk it in the play offs too. Sadly the play off contenders are all boring sides who have been up and down from the PL in recent years (Leeds, Saints, Norwich and WBA) so I can't get excited about any of them. I'd love it if Hull sneaked in on the final day, but unfortunately it's out of their hands, and you'd think West Brom would beat Preston at home.

You’d think so but it seems that West Brom have been 5th since before the season started, so long have they occupied that position. Currently in horrendous form and I’d also love it if Hull pipped them to 6th place.

If it is to be those four, I guess you'd choose Norwich to have another go at coming up, and making zero effort to stay up.

Yep, such a pleasure watching the goals, checking the ref and linesman and knowing that there's no way that someone hundreds of miles away would overrule and disallow a perfectly good goal due to an attacking toenail being a millimetre past the defender's.

Football as football should be.

It's that stage of a redundant season when the Albion no longer matter. I watched last night's match as nervous for Ipswich as any of their fans. I want them to get promoted upstairs again. It's about time. As for the play-offs, I think West Brom play good football and may be the surprise.

This Saturday, being an un-Birmingham City fan, I am hoping for their relegation. Always good to see a 'big' name drop a tier.

I'm a bit torn on the National League play off. Bromley or Solihull ? Both new names.

I had to think for a moment to work out who Albion are playing this week.
