We played well up until their second goal, which was 100% down to the Aussie clown. Once you go 2-0 down it was always going to be difficult, and then we did the comedy thing for their third. Thought we started 2nd half really but then they got their 4th, which looked a clear foul. Two pens not given too.

Not sure the result would have been any different, but if some of those terrible decisions had gone in our favour it woulda been a much more even contest.

BArco superb, The rest . . . Meh.

I can't blame players who we know can play so much better so it has to come from above. RDZ has either lost the plot or given up.

Having said that, Citeh last season was a world class exhibition match from both sides with nothing to play for . . . Tonight was Citeh trying. We looked very 2017 against the grown ups. A totally different class.

De Zerbi ball has been well and truly sussed and he just doesn't seem to have a plan B. We will be in a relegation struggle next season unless he works this out

Sky said 2 penalties should have been given, free kick for 2nd goal was wrong, and 4th goal was probably foul on Steele.
I do think we’re ’too nice’ on these things. most sides would have been surrounding the ref on each of these incidents. And whilst I’d rather no sides did that, it demonstrably works and so we put ourselves at a disadvantage by not doing it

City were easily the better side and didn't need all the help from the officials but they got it anyway. If the aussie **** doesn't give the non-foul on Fiden, gives the foul on Steele and the 2 penalties we're looking at a possible 2-2.

The players did surround the ref for both incidents!

Do leave off.

That was a great display second half.

I'd rather we play football against the best than go full Sheffield United, ten men behind the ball. We need to practice what we can do to win rather than practice eking out the 37 points needed to stay up.
Yeah, thought we did alright for large parts of the game with a patched up squad and an absolutely useless ***t of a ref. Didn’t feel like a 4-0 watching it live tbh. Really like the look of Barco too. Can’t really criticise selection too much as not many decisions to make.

All joking aside.

I have never been a fan of Groß, Welbz and The Lana all starting together.

Please prove me wrong.
I don't know why it doesn't work - but I do know it doesn't work.

I don't think it's an issue of pace, (although not having any doesn't help), I think it's an expectation of experience and understanding which inexplicably completely vanishes.

Any combination of two and obviously just the one is great but 2+1 is so much lesser than the sum of its parts.

You completely trash our team yet can’t even see that the second foul in the box by Gvardiol warranted even a VAR intervention? Seems very selective analysis of the night’s performance if you don’t mind me saying so 😳 I’m not blaming the refs for us losing but we were at the wrong end of some flawed decisions which certainly didn’t help..
I don’t mind at all

I agree that the ref gave us nothing and favoured City. I think VAR did look at both claims.

The formation seemed to be all over the place? Several times it appeared that Lallana and Gross were the furthest forward with Pedro all over the shop behind them. The one time Steele went long in the first half..Pedro was through on goal.

Only to be expected, although we traveled in hope . Here we are with a patched up team including 2 lads making their first start in the league. We faced one of the best teams in the world , full of glittering superstars. The ref seemed to have their interest at heart too.
o k , we just carry on . It is a difficult patch with more injuries than should ever be , but we keep the faith.
