It’s what I heard last night…..definitely something odd has happened though. Cup match was postponed without any reason being given.
I was told on Sunday morning that they had a problem with an ineligible player (although it was said it was a cup-tie issue) and then Sunday evening they cancelled the game.

Sounds like it's a right mess, whatever has happened.

Thinking of doing Lewes v Hashtag on Saturday. The lures of finally being able to try the loaded fries, Greg Halford and Hashtag's very odd fanbase may prove enough for me to make another trip to the Pan Siro.

Is their fan base full of young kids?
Newhaven played Hashtag in a charity match approximately 5 years back and loads of kids turned up

When Hashtag came to Whitehawk there were a lot of teens in attendance. Some of them my son knew as locals but they’d come along to see Hashrag as they follow them on YouTube

*edit* so don’t think they have a huge away fan base but do get lots of curious teens along

Yeah, as a created, online team their fans seem to be teenaged YouTube addicts.

There was a point in Covid where you could go to non league games but PL was a no or restricted. Hashtag played and all these streamer / influencer types turned up and put out videos of themselves drinking lager.

Great news as Borough stayed up. Looked dead and buried at one point but Adam Murray has really changed the team around. 11 points from their last 5 games is just incredible for a team at the bottom. Poor Taunton probably can't believe it but as great escapes go, this surely has to be one of the best.

Let's hope lessons have been learnt for next season.

International clearance!? Is that a thing in non-league football?
Absolutely it is. Including players playing for FA affiliated clubs the first time from Scottish and Welsh clubs. Applies to any player over the age of 11 as I recall.

It wasn't so many years ago the Albion sailed close to the wind during Brian Horton's spell as manager when at Gillingham. A central defender from an African nation played two games before an irregularity with his clearance came to light. A pity as in his two games he looked decent and even scored - at Barnet I think?

Years back pre the internet the risks were always greater for any club, pro or non league. Checking a players eligibility these days should in theory be more straightforward with FA player database potentially at fingertips for officials. Nevertheless at non league level where much of the admin will be carried out by volunteers, players without correct documentation will sometimes slip the net.

Iffyjaquar (spelt horrendously wrong). Scored in a 1 nil win at Barnet. Still to this day the wettest I've ever been at a game of football.

Emeka Ifejiagwa?
Torrential rain for the whole match.
Was it wetter than the Friday night match against Rochdale at Withdean though?

We were stood on the very back row which if you remember that end at Underhill it was just big open bit of wasteland behind and scaffold at the back so no windbreak at all. The wind was blowing the rain horizontally from behind us.

That Friday night against Rochdale was the same night Blur played at the Brighton Centre which I had tickets for.....I went to Withdean :ffsparr:

2-2 draw Halifax v Oldham tonight means my home town team Southend in with a chance of getting in the NL playoffs with the last round of matches coming up...

Brilliant achievement with a 10 point deduction due to (unt of an ex-owner nearly destroying the club
If they won the play offs[and obviously i hope they don't] would the EFL accept them? Seeing as the takeover is still not completed .
