This could be stopped immediately by requiring a keeper having on-field treatment to leave the pitch and not return within 30 seconds; the same rule which applies to outfield players. That would soon stop the feigned injury scenario.
Same as with incorrect throw ins impossible to enforce it at youth level so remains not enforced at top level as well. If a confused kid cant get ball away within 8 seconds because looking for team mates or just being nervous then you cant give indirect free kick against him just cruel and removing lot of fun. And so it doesn´t happen and then never happens

Last season they introduced a 30 sec pitch clock.

Now there are very few violations and games are 20-30 mins shorter.

I watched that game in a pub full of Liverpool supporters, not going to pretend I didn't savor their jeers
I like the idea but (as per post #20) the issue is that EMI MARTINEZ (or another keeper) will just waste time up until the official countdown is started. In fact, such a clock gives them absolute carte blanche to do so.

I'd suggest that instead of the keeper picking up the yellow card, it's given to the team captain. Gives the captain some responsibility (and incentive) to curb time-wasting. If the captain gets sent off, next booking goes to the new captain and so on....

If all the players left the area the keeper would go back to the goal line and put the ball down, thus wasting another 10 seconds knowing no opposition player would be close to him.
No, as mentioned, the current rules just need to be kept to. If a keeper falls down with the ball then add 4 seconds to allow him to get up. I think most refs can count to 10.

Leave a player on the edge of the box. If the keeper drops the ball at his feet the ball is back in play and the player can now close the keeper down.
