We had won the early season games in the sunshine does that mean that much? We then went to Fulham and made a complete mess of it. No guarantee we would of achieved top six under Potter as he has a pattern of starting reasonably well before a long lull during the colder months.
Early season games mean as much as the others in Roberto´s case it is doing heavy lifting. If you ignore our first 6 games of the season our point average is 1.115 per game. If the early season games were as poor as the rest of the season we would sit on 36 points. Nearly every year that would have us looking into nervous relegation battle now and dare I guess most would not be happy with the coach

……but for that to happen, we’d gave started the season with effectively our current squad (excluding Moder) without March, Mitoma, Enciso…….if we’d have gone into a new season without those kind of players in the squad then we’d deserve to be struggling. Key injuries have absolutely crippled us.

RDZ/fans shouldn't go on and on using injury to a few players as an excuse for his low standard/bad management this season. Don't forget the Villa side with half their best players out injured (& suspended) still beat Arsenal.

We don’t have the luxuries of the Villa squad for one thing and the other we sold the midfield and didn’t replace it with anyone significant it’s been patched up all season. People are pointing fingers at the coach but really that is down to bad management at board level.

Is it possible to extend RDZ's contract by 2 or 3 years so we can get more compo when he goes this summer ?

Wolves playing some great stuff with only twelve first teamers fit too

The noises are that the club have wanted to offer a new contract but things are stalling at RDZ's end.

I agree. We were able to put out a very decent starting 11 on Saturday, yet we should've been beaten by a team that are as good as relegated. Also, the reason for the accumulation of injuries that mostly seem to occur during training has to be considered.

Wolves actually have some really good players - without the help of the famous Brighton recruitment algorithm.
João Gomes for under 20 million.
Nunes, signed for 38 and sold for over 50 a year later.
Neto signed for about 15 and now worth 4 or 5 times that.
Loads of other examples.
They might have had more money and the help of that super agent but they've certainly made some blinding signings.

Hwang £14 million
Ait-Nouri £9.5 million - rumoured to be wanted by City and Liverpool this Summer
Cunha was expensive (£44 million) - but more goals and assists than Pascal Groß this season

Kilman, signed from Maidenhead.
Collins, not sure why he left so quickly but they made a little profit on his one season there.
The only big mistake they've made is Fabio Silva but he is still only 21.

Not with him agreeing to SING it. Which is what TB and co are trying to do at the moment.

My guess is that he will extend at the end of this season and then – if he does well next season – get poached next summer.

I don’t disagree. My point was that football fans live very much in the moment. When Potter left we were on a good run, so lots of people were very upset. Right now we’re on a poor run of form and hence there is more indifference to the prospect of RDZ leaving, even although he overall has done a better job than Potter.

You're always quick to write off our managers. What about if we get our players back and reach that ceiling again under him? I guess you'd be disappointed with 6th again next season.

He’d disappear, like always, until doom and gloom descends again

I think that knowing whoever is manager at the end of this season, going in to next, will have a major influence on potential signings wanting to come here.
Agree going into transfer window not knowing whether Roberto is staying or not would be the worst outcome dont think Tony is going to let that happen
