I wonder if this stabber was inspired by the incident at Bondi Junction on the weekend. Fortunately, from what I've read so far, there haven't been any fatalities...yet

Shocking. Bishop Mari is one of the most loved preachers in Christian circles, he's very popular on Social Media.

Seriously - your speculation may or may not be correct, but less than TWO DAYS after such assumptions made fools of a lot of people, in the aftermath of a similar incident, could you not just hold back and wait for some information?

That has nothing to do with what's happened! Unless you feel the attack was justified because of his Orthodox views? Most believers of the Abrahamic faith don't support gay marriage or LGBTQ+ lifestyle. Some do, most don't. Unless he's breaking the law, he's allowed to have those views in most democratic countries. Some of us may hate that, but that's the world we live in where people have different views on family and religion and sex.

Where did he say it had anything to do with what happened?

My God the comments on twitter are depressing, gone for the knee jerk blame the Muslims bullshit straight of the bat with no evidence.

Same thing happened after the last one. I guess some people will never learn.
A lot of people will simply immediately decide it's the fault of their particular bête noire and run with it irrespective of facts

Don't do Twatter or Facebook!

You'll only be sad to read what trolls and the scum at the bottom of the human drain are thinking.

If the information on the link in the OP is correct, the Bishop is a strict orthodox Christian, strongly against LGBT, gay marriages, etc. - similar attitudes in that respect as extreme Islam, so hardly likely to be an Islamic attack.

And WTF are the crowds gathering to protest protesting about? What's their beef?
