RDZ has been honest throughout and I don't think he's ever said anything inaccurate.
We also need to remember that under Premier League rules RDZ has to attend the press conferences. Maybe his error has been to be too open and honest.

I very much hope we can begin next season with RDZ in charge and 2 or 3 new quality additions. (and hang on to Pascal Groß).
Apart from the Big Six/Seven, most clubs would love to be where we currently are.

It really is RDZs job to get the best out of what we've got. It's a self fulfilling prophecy in my view to say "This lot aren't good enough" At the very least it is hardly a vote of confidence for those he is talking about. By all means have the conversations in private but in public? Not for me.

As for honesty, when did that ever help? Alex Ferguson got a bang average Man utd team to win the league by telling average players they were brilliant. They believed it and won the league. Now, I don't expect Europa league next year and all things considered there has been more good than bad this year. Much more in fact, Forest and Athens away was the best week supporting the Albion in years if not ever. All I expect is the manager to toe the line in public. It creates a negativity that really doesn't need to be there.

Are we assuming that, if the season started tomorrow, all our players would have been injured playing in a season that had just been abandoned in April for no reason, would be fit and healthy, or would be injured beforehand Nancy Kerrigan style?

I don’t think replacing people like that at the prices we are willing to pay is that easy, probably easier said than done

Defensively in midfield we were awful. No one marked their opposite number correctly, we left gaping holes in midfield and in attack we were tactically woeful. Why oh why are we trying to walk it in. So f***ing predictable. Against a good side we would have been pumped. We didn’t even bother to attack our corners and defend much out wide.

Think RDZ really needs to learn alot and show a more flexible approach..we are crying out for a decent CDM as we all know, but that wasn’t good enough for a side supposedly trying to get Europe for a 2nd successive season.

It's all very well to start a thread 'not good enough' but did you see our bench? The team is running on fumes with nothing in reserve. I don't see the value in criticism. But I am also excited to see what happens in the summer.

They aligned as much as they have ever done when we had Mac Allister and Caicedo in the same team. It's going to need a lot of aligning to reach those dizzy heights. I too think we should be aiming high and doing better than we are at the moment, but we aren't as good now as we were then, and results will inevitably reflect this.

We were speaking to some Barrow fans at Hilton Park services yesterday (we crossed the bridge to use the KFC on the northbound side) they were returning from the long trip to Gillingham and mentioned that in mid week they were off to Crawley. Whilst I was in awe of their superb dedication they asked who we were/where we’d been as we had no colours on. When I mentioned the name of two premier league teams (albeit one of them being Burnley!) it sort of killed the conversation. No I wouldn’t give up what we have now but a bit of me does miss the “olden days” now and then.

Yeah, all of them look burnt out to me, add mental and physical fatigue to shite results/performances and it must make them feel more exhausted, more injuries and on and on. We look very keen for the season to end. Gross must be absolutely knackered.

Criticism is what makes you realise your weaknesses and where you go wrong. So we just bury our heads in the sand? Agree running on fumes, but it was obvious where we were going wrong and nothing was done to change it. Not good enough.

Still not ideal for a doctor to disappear in the middle of our worst ever injury crisis.

Big question is if he left because no one listened to he or if he left because he was not doing a great job. Or some other reason but if he left to pursuit a career in landscape painting we should of heard of it now all quiet instead. I could easily see Roberto in conflicts with the team doctor actually much easier to see than the opposite. But could also see us not being happy with the works of the medics given this injury crisis has been on for a year now. Also when did it happen? Im thkining maybe Pervis walking off after coming on against Ajax could of triggered harsh feelings in some direction

Found this from Dec 12th (Daily Mail): "The circumstances behind Brett’s exit have not been confirmed, with the matter viewed as being private. Brighton have advertised for a new first team doctor to join De Zerbi’s staff, but sources have indicated that is not linked to Brett’s exit."

Adam Brett (head of medicine & performance) was one of the hence to - he left in August. I think the club doctor and a physio also left early in the season.
