They weren't really in the middle of De Zerbi's bad patch either. Sheffield United - well, they were already on the beach (of despair). The Spurs and Palarse wins? - well, they seem like a bloody long time ago!
Potters bad runs were most of his first two seasons, especially at home.

And you can hardly get upset over a draw away to Burnley and then not count it when we put five past a very similar team twice

Our wage bill is 14th in the league

This could end up being our 3rd best league finish in our history

We’ve made record profit

Personally I think some of us have become more than a little bit entitled
I’d disagree with you slightly, I don’t think some have become a bit entitled I think they have shat themselves and become a little entitled.

We are basically doing a West Ham from last season but without the relegation worries. They did win a Cup though.

It may be a blessing not to have European football next season, I think it took priority over the League in De Zerbi’s head and the Roma result, injuries and yet more injuries every time we got some not up to speed players back coupled with a midfield that is nowhere near as good as the one we had last season has derailed the second half of the season.

Be interesting how we finish the season but I fear flip flops and beach towels are coming out. We really have nothing left to play for and RDZ has adopted a cautious approach too late, he should have done it in more games when we were still in with a shout of finishing in the top 7 and going deep in the Europa.

It’s disappointing but if we can scrape top half of the table it won’t have been a bad season, just one that fizzled out after so much promise. The Europa run was brilliant until we got thumped and dumped. We’ll long remember it when the current disappointment fades.

The team are knackered and had the belief kicked out of them in Rome.

For the past 10 games, Gross and Dunk have not put in the sort of performances we have come to expect from them.

There was a period of 10 minutes after the first goal last week, when the team attempted to play at the pace that bought us glory last season.
Other than that it has been the slow and ponderous Potterball, we were accustomed to.

It doesn't work.
Without the speed and precision of pure De Zerbiball, we are a lower table team.

No blame being aimed at anyone, just a shame that a season that had promised so much, has fizzled out, earlier than I wanted it to.
Will still go to every game that loyalty points allow.
Maybe they're just both starting to feel their age (32) a little bit towards the end of a long hard season

Our model focusses on buying talent, developing it and then selling it on.
This season it hasn't catered well enough at covering the gaps in the current first team.

This is where De Zerbi's frustration has come from.

It's entirely possible that our golden era was a bit of a fluke.
For 2 season's we had the players at the right place in their development to have a strong first team in all positions.
Baleba and Buananotte weren't ready to replace Caicedo/Mac Allister .
Although this season was still shaping up to be an absolute classic. Seven weeks ago, we were still in two cups competitions and fighting for a top 6/7 spot. So I'm not too sure the disappointment we are all feeling is entirely down to our two midfielder sales not being replaced adequately.

I think most of us can see the bigger picture looks absolutely fine whilst at the same time indulging in gallows humour and a downturn in Albion mojo.

Personally I just want it to be cricket season now, let the club do what needs to be done and hope we can reclaim some of the joy we have experienced over the last 20 months (disregarding the last two).

As for De Zerbi, I'm a bit out of love with him. I can't help feeling he could have mitigated the damaging downturn by not whining in the press when he did. Please just get on with the job so that people like me can admire you again.

I wouldn't bother wasting your time on this poster and the other GPott obsessed dullards.

Our season has completely fizzled out as we've been knocked out of Europe and been wiped out by injuries. RDZ hasn't been good the past few months, but he has had to work with juggling the squad to deal with our first ever European adventure and the biggest injury crisis in the history of the club.

If he's still here next season, we have recruited properly in key positions and don't have injuries, if the football carries on in this manner then all the criticism will be absolutely fair and there might be some interesting debate to have. But for now, it's plain for most to see what's happening. The GPott lovers who have forgotten the countless winless streaks under him just need ignoring.

We're struggling against some really shit teams this season. Those that don't believe we're in for a relegation fight next season need to wake up, quickly.

People talking about next season just like our loser manager. With a 1/6 of the season left to play. Hope some of our players dont have the loser mentality spreading like wildfire. Fine your happy with not winning another game this season. But how did we end up there. Going to Villa with suicide 442 then wasting most games against bottom teams with a bad 352. We look bad playing anything but 4231.
Rotating squad players but playing star players to death. Maybe our new players arent good enough maybe they aren´t properly coached but does that explain Veltman, Webster Dunk being shadows of what they were 18 months ago. Injuries in the training ground or after months of playing nearly ever game and Trossard Sanchez Caicedo doing everything in their power to get away.
Dahoud spectacle. Rotating goalkeepers. Talking about buying players in media raising the prices of selling clubs. Football all gone no one using sole to control the ball none bothering the passing to lock up defenses just watch yesterday with straight through balls to their defenders no one is doing what we were doing so well.
Sorry about essay just think people underestimate how bad we are and more so our current tenant manager not doing a good job taking care of the house all about the decor looking increasingly naff
Loser mentality? Surely that applies to someone who is completely negative and keeps going on about a relegation battle next year. Put your money on it then as you will get very good odds.

I disagree. What many are highlighting is RDZ’s moans and groans are costing us. This would be the same if we were first, tenth or last in the league.

Potter holds the record for our PL most defeats in a row, this never gets mentioned by the Potter was great fraternity either.

The issue with just writing this season off is that sides tend to take their second half of the season form into the following season. I’m sure TB is well aware of this and hopefully a big refresh is planned for the summer. We need a very active window on both outgoings and incomings. Too many in this squad are too old or simply not good enough.

I recall Chelsea three times sacking a manager in the autumn after the previous season's form had not been taken forward.

There is only one golden rule in football as far as I am aware:

There is no golden rule.

I think most comments are just stating that the football we are now playing is Potterball, and it is, and that we have gone backwards. Not seen a single post that anyone would like De Zerbi to leave and be replaced by Potter, although some have suggested he could come back if RDZ walks or is sacked. It’s a stupid idea imo, the atmosphere from the stands would turn toxic within a game or two of a poor run.

I’d say this is worst than Potterball. At least with Potterball we were creating lots of chances even if we never took them.

Yes that could possibly happen but I think what is more likely is that we pick up a few more points this season, possibly a suprise somewhere with an unexpected result, finish the season somewhere round about where we are now in the table and go again next season with our injured players back and probably a few new signings.A good manager a fantastic structure overall and a very positive outlook for another top 10 finish.Well that’s what I’m manifesting in my mind anyway.Think relegation battle and that’s what you will get. Also I don’t think there are any SHIT team in the Premier League
We will be in there battling next season again
