I know this might sound silly, but as far as our injuries go, I think his one has probably hurt us more than many of the others (perhaps Mitoma and Pedro)
I think he gave something extra that no other player in that inverted fullback role has managed this season.
He was a good defender, and always created space out wide, and was dangerous coming inside for crosses.
It is noticeable our form has dipped since he got injured

Agree that his absence has impacted us.
He gave us a very dynamic option with his energy and goal threat.

How many games has he played in midfield for us?

If Groß does leave, then JH is gonna have huge boots to fill and a major role next season. Would be nice if he could have one more season of sporadic starts and varied roles though for his development.
Yes said so in another thread or this one not just his quality but the energy he brought which has been missing in our team this season. As things were going when he was injured I thought he might actually get called up for England but that will have to wait. Looking forward to see more of Jack he is my player of the season only behind Gross and Van Hecke

I think there's a very good chance he'll be our first choice right back next season, mainly because RDZ seems to like him there (and I think RDZ will still be around).
If all 3 are fit (don't laugh), it's a very close selection decision at RB between Lamptey, Veltman and Hinsh. I reckon it would be a game by game call, but Hinsh would play just about the most games.
I think Lamptey will be off on the Summer; into last year of his contract and there's been no renewal.

It is possible he'll be off. But also a good chance he'll renew. Same with Veltman. He's not featured much this season, though mostly though mostly through injury, but I wonder if he'll look at this as a chance to start afresh somewhere.
I guess there's be quite a few ins and outs in a lot of positions this summer

I'm wondering if his long term future might be as a full back, especially all the time RDZ is here. This was posted by the club and taken from the latest podcast where he says he loves the role RDZ has found for him. Just because he was a central midfielder in youth football doesn't mean that's where he'll stay if he excels at a new position, which he clearly has.

If he's as good as we all think he is he will end up in CM. We'll be wanting him to dominate games. Many, many younger players start out in wider roles when they break into first teams.
If it’s right backs and all are fit surely Veltman is first choice? Whilst I do admire Hinsh he’s still learning as a RB and has certainly made some mistakes in that position.
Jesus christ lets hope not... We need genuine experience and grit in the middle of the park, not to infill with children...
His aerial ability, sneaking in at the back post, is something else.
Can't see him going to another Prem club. Can see him at a Watford or a Norwich.
