Geez, talk about a thread being derailled - and not in a good way. Sort of stuff I don't want to read on NSC thanks - ignore thread button about to be activated. :(
After you've read the whole thing and let us know what you think.

It's okay to personally attack people on here now? And choosing to not have kids, or even your sexual preference, that's now fair game?
State of this place sometimes.

It’s always the same posters who derail what should have been an interesting thread. One of whom cannot post anything without it running to thousands of words. I very rarely use the ignore function, but it’s time.

Back on the topic of the thread, IF RDZ stays for next season, it will be interesting to see if he gets his mojo back with a fit squad and some additions during the transfer window. Personally, I think he will/would.

Christ alive, some of the comments on this thread are absolutely embarrassing. You’d think we were cut adrift at the bottom of the league the way people are carrying on.

RDZ delivered a quite astounding achievement last season. We had the cheapest squad in the division and the fourth lowest wage bill, yet managed to finish 6th.

This season, we’ve enjoyed a European adventure across some brilliant cities, taken on and beaten some proper powerhouses of European football.

We’re still in the top half of the division, despite facing an injury crisis that clubs with much larger squads than ours would have struggled with too.

We’ve brought through some more homegrown talent and also signed some really exciting prospects from abroad, who are only going to improve our squad.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, we’ll probably record our 2nd or 3rd highest finish in our HISTORY, all whilst playing under a manager who has delivered a style of play that has some of the best clubs in the world interested in hiring him.

Sure, we’ve had some disappointments recently in terms of results, but anyone not drinking in the fact that we’re probably living through the apex of the club’s history needs to give their head a colossal wobble.
Last years squad was assembled on the cheaper side although that was not the reality of the situation. That squad’s value would have coat around £400-500m to assemble in today’s market.
Most teams get stronger whilst selling one or two we have done a full on Southampton which was surprising as I didn’t think we would. One hole to fill is easier than two. If Gross departs that’s a lot assists to find from somewhere without replacing the other two as yet.

I can understand the frustrations give fans some success and they will want more of the same. I think it’s forgotten some younger fans that have grown up with the opening of the Amex have only known an upward curve. The club will have to deal with these added expectations.

Let me start by saying I'm self aware enough to know I'm universally hated on this board because I'm a wind up merchant and a££ hole, and I'm a bad fan at times although I bet I've been to more games than you this season and therefore contributed to the club financially in a more positive way (which is far more important than being a happy clapper on a message board the manager and players probably don't read).

Are you self aware enough to realise that some people find you arrogant on this board?

And I'm especially refering to political posts rather than football here.

Anyway I won't detail the topic at hand any further.....
Well I don't hate you. You talk a load of absolute bollocks sometimes, as we all do. I particularly like your early assessments of new players being dogshit who then turn out to be great.

But you add a hell of a lot more to this Board than a lot of posters these days, it's so much blander than it used to be. Keep posting please.

In that case, I can only assume you are referring to the Trump thread or the Israel/Gaza thread because those are the only political threads I post on. On both of those threads, I have voiced the majority view so can only assume you are calling me ‘arrogant’ because you disagree with my political POV 🤷‍♂️

As for ‘hating you’, I don’t hate any one so I have absolutely no idea why my post attracted that response from you 😳 - I have not attacked you at all on this thread or expressed anything like ‘hatred’ but think about it - you have precipitated this whole derailment and invited known trolls to pile in on it because of your original criticism of me (for which you got 8 likes I know) and now you are saying that criticism has absolutely nothing to do with this thread or about football but comments I have made on political threads 🤷‍♂️ - NSC has over 25,000 members last time I looked so how representative is your 8 likes or you criticism of my political stances?

Your attacks on Hans Kray and Guinness Boy are also unfounded and out of order - HK is one of the kindest Mods on a forum I’ve come across and I have found him incredibly honest and supportive and GB, although a bit harsh sometimes in his moderation methods is overall pretty fair and astute imo.

Zeb
When did I attack Hans kray? And last time I looked GB was the one that tried to completely diminish my whole being in one post, not sure I've attacked him in the recent past. Anyhoooo

Simply stunned at the meltdown on this thread. Whilst it is true RDZ is not above criticism, I personally took his pre-Liverpool comments negatively but all these suggestions of him and the team checking out are utter garbage in my view. Some fans are showing some big-six levels of petulance which quite frankly I thought we were above.

I've seen nothing but effort from this team all season. Even after Roberto's perceived hissy fit before Liverpool the team delivered a solid performance and forced the scousers to earn their win rather than simply hand it to them on a plate. The same was in evidence on Saturday against Arsenal who in the end were simply better than us, because they are better than us.

We are all a bit knackered now, the management, the players and the fans also. We've had to cope with the extra games and emotion of Europe, we've had to endure the extended absence of multiple key players, losing March, Mitoma, Pedro, Enciso, Billy Gilmour, Hinshelwood and also a crocked Estupinian who has yet to fully recover from his injury.

WTF do people expect, we can't just buy another dozen first teams players on the off-chance half our first team will pick ups season-ending injuries.

FWIW I am less concerned about whether we qualify for Europe next season, I just want us to play well and end the season the best we can, and I'll be cheering from the sidelines not moaning whilst bemoaning our lack of top six status like we have a divine right to it.

Some huge games left at the Amex this season all of which have a bit of spice and needle in them, bring them on!

Also can we drop the personal insults, we may not always agree on everything here but we do all support the same team.

Jesus. I really don't know where to start with what has happened on this thread, and I really don't want to spend my time unpicking it.

Please:

1. "Play the ball and not the man" - debate the subject as strongly as you like, don't debate users and their views.
2. If you disagree with someone, explain why you disagree. Don't attack them for holding an alternative view.
3. Not replying is a perfectly valid option. You may think someone has posted a load of shit, but you don't need to tell them. You lose no face by skipping on by.
4. If someone has posted abusively, report it and move on. Let the mods handle it. By responding in the same manner, you just compound the problem.
5. If you find someone's posts consistently annoy you, and you find yourself drawn into conflict with them, just put them on your ignore list.

You haven't, but on the post I responded to you had attacked someone else for no reason. The old NSC way was to give a bit back. Maybe discourse has moved on more than I thought.

It was an old fashioned studs up challenge but, to me, you've always had an online personality of dwayne - I'd have money that the in person you is different - and it was that character I was lambasting.

On reflection, out of order though. Sorry.

Just as a point of order, who moderates moderator's posts and can a mod be demoted for infractions?

Asking for a friend ...

Coming from Mister Long Term Troll, the most arrogant poster left on here and someone who finances his London flat, lease car, shit restaurant, Ibiza selfie with Wayne, cheap tattoos lifestyle by not being able to settle down and produce a family.

And to think I get a warning for calling a c**t a c**t on here, whilst GB gets to run around and say this sort of thing :lolol:
