I get that, I do, but it wasn’t an achievement with the Albion. He would have won it wherever he was.
In the modern era of transient club players, 98 appearances may well be the norm for players who produce and outgrow a club. He has legend status in my eyes, for the WC medal whilst with us, three years of stunning football and being absolutely key in getting us into Europe.

Probably, but we did play a huge role in his further development. Who knows if we helped him more in his establishment as a first choice Argie player compared to if he'd stayed put or moved elsewhere?

Yeah I do agree, I’m absolutely not against people putting him in this bracket and I think he’s certainly one of the best players we’ve ever had, but I would argue that Dunk or Gross need to be put ahead of him on the ‘legend’ tracker and they’ve won sweet FA.
I suppose it’s how you quantify it.

Yep, in my book, he was as instrumental as Caicedo. I really believed and am surely on record here saying he's really underrated by many of our fans. I haven't missed a player as much since Wardy left.
Legend I would say no because he wasn´t with us long enough and added plenty class skill and falri but strangely we were never relying on him like some others. Proud of him though and proud of us because this is a player we truly made what he is today you can argue players like Bissouma Trossard and Caicedo were fantastic when they came but we had to sit through a lot of anonymous Alexis performances before he turned into what he is now. Hope we can see him back one day but dont think so

Caicedo is a fantastic player. His life is probably a bit messed up and he's got unhelpful people in the background. He was also a lot younger than Mac when he got his big move. Not grounded in the right way, but given more time and the right environment, he will shine.Hopefully not revisionism by me

Of course he’s a legend. He not only won a World Cup while with us, he was a vital/integral/key part (not a non-playing squad member) of the Argentinian team that finally secured Messi’s football immortality. Until he wins another one - BHA are an incredible part of his career too.

£55m supposedly inc. add ons (of which there were £20m which supposedly have already been met).
Think people are getting confused by the £40m odd stated in the accounts as potential income. Relates to Ali Mac (allegedly £20m) and others inc. Sanchez who was sold for £25m plus add-ons and Caicedo who had £15m add-ons after a certain amount of appearances.
