I really don’t believe the moon landing happened. Don’t know why but I think it looks well dodgy and the fact that nobody ever went back is my issue.

Look at the state of those space suits!
But they did go back. They went back again. And again. And again. And again. And again. Six times in total, and the reason they stopped was because once the novelty had worn off the American public was becoming bored ('been there, done that'). During the sixth landing people complained that the moon landing was being televised instead of repeats of 'I Love Lucy'. So if they were faked why did they do it SIX TIMES? And let alone how the coverup has been so complete for all these years you can ask yourself simple scientific questions like how did they fake the source of the radio signals coming from the lunar surface?

There is way more chance that England's solitary World Cup win in 1966 was faked rather than the moon landings (plural).

Hopefully you were joking.

Other countries in the world have powerful telescopes and electronic equipment. Australia has confirmed the hardware left behind on the moon, lunar buggy etc, can still be seen.

They're in on it too.

If we knew the moon landings didn't happen then we might start to question how Australia can be on the other side of the world when the world's flat.

Dont believe in conspiracies but always had reservations on this one due to the Cold War situation and being so easy to pull off of course they could of made it in Hollywood if they wanted. And what are the public going to say no you didnt go to moon I was there I didnt see you. Nothing I lay awake thinking of because dont see how it matters me or anything

The pretend space suits though.

When you look out to sea on a calm day, you can see why sailors used to think that if they sailed to the horizon they would fall of the edge. Still baffles me a bit to think the world is a sphere not flat at moments like that.
(Ps. i know it’s not really flat!)
Sailers didn't think they'd fall off the edge, they could see that approaching ships and other features appear top first (e.g. the top of a mast before the rest of the ship) as they come over the horizon. So they knew it was round.

One of my closest mates has gone a route from having a healthy and justified scepticism of political spin and the media all the way down to now full-blown conspiracy theorist. For him nothing can just happen, it has to be part of a bigger story and controlled by some kind of poorly-defined global entity that's enslaving us all. He sends me links from time to time, usually to Twitter posts, that I find staggering anyone intelligent could believe, but just looking at those half a dozen posts has been picked up by the Twitter algorithm and now my entire feed is wall to wall craziness.
i saw some claiming last week the Baltimore bridge collapse was a cover-up for Trump trial, which itself was a cover-up for some congress funding for Ukraine or other incident. and Puffy Daddy was in the mix too. i lost the will to follow the crazy. it's utterly bonkers thinking everything has to be inter-related and planned. someone said earlier in thread much of must come from piss takers, which i reckon it must be, though there is saddly a core who do really believe it all.

I'm no conspiracy theorist but there are numerous examples of ones that have been proven not to be a load of shite, most of which involve US government agencies:

MKUltra, Gulf of Tonkin, Cointel, Northwoods, birds not being real and plenty of other shady CIA shenanigans for a start.

My nephew, who has recently been diagnosed with level 1 autism (aspergers), is a genuine flat earth believer. He is a sucker for several other conspiracy theories too.
Luckily I must be grade 2.

And with the political situation at the time, if it was faked, then Russia would have been all over it like a tramp on chips
