Peterborough owner on (McAnthony) not Simon Jordan. Basically said Tony Bloom should tell Roberto ("whose had more clubs than Tiger Wood"

) to "get back in his box. Bloom has given Roberto his 1st job in Premier league and has got a bit too big for his boots".

This is why the Italian RDZ flag was a total waste of money AS SAID AT THE TIME.

Who thinks these things through? Numbskulls do! Should be Club legends only, which can only be determined AFTER they’ve left or retired.

I always assumed the flag thing was those fans saying FU to Potter rather than adoration for RDZ.

I don't think that RDZ flag is a waste of money even if he leaves in a huff. It was to show that after all the upset when Potter left with the kitchen sink, we were fully behind the new appointed manager.

I'm not sure the Peterborough owner, who only seems to get on with Darren Ferguson, should be giving TBMBE any advice as to running a football club.

If you SAID IT AT THE TIME, I’m afraid you were WRONG AT THE TIME. The flag was to mark a new era post-Potter, and did its job very well. I don’t know how much the flag cost but in the context of the PL, it must have been peanuts. Money well spent IMO, and I've no idea why you’ve such a bee in your bonnet about a bit of symbolism that served its purpose well.

Today's media runs not on information, but on outrage. Talksport, Monday Night Club etc. succeed by prompting reaction and the easiest reaction to prompt is negativity. RDZ said nothing we all didn't already know: - He wanted the squad bolstered in January and is annoyed that the injuries have helped knacker our chances of progressing in the cup competitions. It's a manager's job to push his chairman to get the strongest squad he can and its a chairman's job to decide where to draw the line. If you asked Bloom and Barber they wouldn't say they were being disrespected, they would say that RDZ has just voiced the truth in response to a question. Perhaps he's been naive in his honesty and should be more aware that, like a police interview, anything he says may be taken down and used against him. However, the only bad actors in this teacup are those deliberately whipping up the storm to get themselves clicks or advertising revenue. Don't buy into it and you'll be able save the anger in your life for more appropriate targets like chip forks, flasks and bottle lids, mantis shrimps and, when the accounts are actually published, why they don't show the 1983 Cup final money.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi on speculation surrounding his future: "At this moment you are asking me a lot of times if I am leaving but I am still proud to be coach at Brighton.

"I know I am really lucky to work with these players, to work with this club. I'd like to compete with a full squad but I try to play with the players available and I think they are enough."

RDZ 's career to date.......13 different clubs in 15 years playing and 7 different clubs in 9 years coaching, suggests that he is not the man for the long haul ( or even the medium term ). We have already had nearly two seasons out of him and TB would have done his homework. The club would have known that this man gets second season syndrome ( itchy feet ) and prepared for what is happening now.
He is already putting his markers down and I would be mightily surprised if we got a third season out of him, particularly if we miss a European place.

Well that is good enough for me. I have now calmed down from annoyance on Saturday where I feel I may have read more into Roberto's comments than I should have.

Now if the press could actually stop sh*t-stirring and let him get on with his job, that would be nice.

Can't see what all the fuss is over.
If he stays, good. If he goes, we'll get some one else.
I'd like another season out of him, but if a club with more clout comes in or he says ta bye, so be it. The bloke is ambitious and I reckon deserves a shot at the bigger competitions. Tony Bloom is ambitious as well....but he won't bankrupt the club chasing dreams

Re his previous appointment - you can't blame De Zerbi for not sticking out Year 2. The Russians were shelling his house at the time.
