Maybe he felt his injury wasn't treated properly? Pure guesswork on my part but there have been rumours about the medical team.

The club doctor plus the Head of Medical and Performance left the club to pursue other opportunities in mid-December. Pedro's injury occurred in January.

I heard a rumour like this.

The person who told me had a reliability level of about 3/10, so I dismissed it.

But, if you, and maybe a few others have heard similar, well there's no smoke without fire
