Well exactly. People bigging him up for 'playing better recently' are missing the facts that prior to that he wasn't playing at all & that his current (not utter shit) form would have him nowhere near the squad under another manager
Bit like Sunk hasn't been too much of an arse recently, so let's give him another 5 years.

No for me. But does always seem to play well or ok for England. We are short there though. Dunk and Stones for me.

This being reported quite widely (originally Henry Winter in Times), that Maguire wants Southgate to stay until WC 2026.

That's hardly surprising when any other manager would've dropped a few times for errors and loss of form.

Why want to change a manager who always picks you inspite of form?
who's in great form at Man Utd at the moment?

Club form counts for nothing, international class is key. Shearer hadn't scored for England for more than 20 games leading up to Euro 96, but he was an acomplished forward and natural finisher. At the same time Andy Cole was scoring for fun, but he was a one trick pony - at international level he was cruelly found out.

Paolo Rossi was banned before the 82 world cup, no form to speak of, but the top players come to the fore at the highest level. Maguire was awesome in 2000 and should be a sho-in for 2024

BBC ratings are just down to the fanbases prepared to comment.

Dunk's rating will be mainly based on the Palace fan's determined to undermine his inclusion.
Dunk was very poor when he came on.

I think he played shite on purpose so he doesn't have to join up with these arrogant tossers for a month in June and July, he'd rather spend it with his family after a long season.
I like your thinking 🤔

Dunk's error led to Brazil's goal, and he didn't do anything else of note - of course he was going to be low rated.
That is the issue. You are under the highest scrutiny and it was a very poor header. The BBC called out too many mistakes at the back particularly Maguire..Dunk and Chilwell. The early loss of Walker didn't help but our captain has made more errors this season than most of us feel comfortable with. He hasn't been the only one but he normally sets pretty high standards and I'm sure he will raise his levels again.
