The article says they had other footage of the group where their faces are clearly seen, which probably means they can match the clothing worn between the two videos as well.
That and the police officer knew the lad, from 10 years of previous football related disorder...

Jnr (19) is desperate to be the fan next to these fans.

I cannot, for the life of me, get him to see the rank stupidity of his alcohol fuelled need to be next to trouble.

It's got so bad we're going out separate ways next season, I just can't be near him when he's 'left early' for a game.

Come on then Jo - you're still online - why post this ? Trying to stir something ? Trying to get Tim 'failed to become a Tory councillor' Hodges column more views ? How come you're paid by both The Argus and Brighton & Hove News - competitors ?

😂😂😂😂 Brawling! 🤣🤣

Genuinely, all they are doing is running up to about four feet of each other and doing little flicks with their feet and hands.

Of course they should face consequences but that is one of the most pathetic examples of football “violence” I have ever seen.
This.

I am very anti-violence naturally including football violence. I have defended myself when needed but avoid violent confrontation unless I have no other choice.

This barely qualifies as violence. It’s pathetic.

Everyone has run ins with their teenage kids (and I was that age in 1979 and did dreadful things, far worse I suspect than your son )

He'll make you proud yet (but maybe not in the next 2 years )

Surprised they could use that as any evidence or even say that whatsoever. Only convictions should be mentioned surely. Seemed odd.

Sounds like me. Generally a pacifist, but I do have a particular set of skills, making me a nightmare for anyone who thinks they can take liberties. Particularly on Brighton turf.

Sad to hear, SB. If it's any consolation, he will have inherited his tonsorial accoutrement via his mother's genes, meaning he will never have lovely hair like you. Never.

One fewer wanker at games though, fine by me. But if that’s what constitutes an Albion hooligan then we are largely safe I think. Soft as shit.

It’s the excitement, even middle aged nsc’ers are drawn to the videos.

Not identical circumstances, but when ours talked about kinda similar stuff and doesn’t listen (completely normal for that age), I emphasised the implications from making the one ‘mistake’ …. eg blocking half the career opportunities out there for good (knowingly exaggerating). You could advise on a compromise …. let the thick do the criminal acts, they’ll be caught through CCTV, be the clever one not breaking the law at the back. Another one, don’t do anything to get yourself banned from seeing the Albion.
