Good luck.

Be yourself, firm handshake, eye contact.

Know someone fairly high up the Tesco food chain, pardon the pun, and they like the more mature workers not only for their time honoured work ethic but their experience and maturity often rubs off on the younger employees.

Sort out the eyebrows, nose hair and ear hair.
Don't forget those stray hairs that grow out at the side of your ear lobe, on your nose and under the eye.

Although usually something for the older generation, a company I worked for used a stock image of a man in their mid to late thirties for the home page of a software solution and all the marketing materials sent to customers. It was only after they had all been created, printed etc, we spotted that this man had a stray hair growing out of his left ear lobe. It was one of those things that once you had seen it, your eyes were always drawn to.

Yep. My tweezers are my third best friend. You don't get to look as crisp as my user pic at my age by slumping on the sofa and eating cakes.

To clear up any misapprehensions I am not preparing myself for when our current leader moves on......

Although I am within sight of state pension age I have applied for part time work in a local supermarket. Any hints please for my interview tomorrow, particularly dress code - suit may be a little OTT.
wear a toga , take a bunch of flowers and a bowler hat ....let us know how you get on..x

i once blew a job (when i asked for feedback afterwards) because i had dirty hands. I arrived barely on time and looking a touch hot after i had cycled to the interview (seemed like a good idea at the time!) but i had some trouble locking the bike up and must have got my hands dirty off the tyres. So in that case nice suit and tie counted for nothing!

Put some thought into how you might answer the inevitable questions.
Why do you want this job?
What will you bring to the role?
Do you not think this job is beneath you?
Are you a team player or do you prefer to work alone?
Etc ....
