I meant if we lose their entitled fans will be giving it large all over social media, and that is annoying, especially considering most of them as you say don’t, can’t or won’t see the big picture their eyes are firmly focused on the big prize, and don’t, can’t, or won’t care….
I hate them so so much more than Palace or any other team, it’s what they stand for from top to bottom.

I can't stand Chelsea.
Two trips to Wembley this season and their fans are still booing.

Believe it or not but I liked Chelsea back in the 1960s. I watched them a few times as my Mum, who was divorced, lived just off the King’s Road, so they were my sort of local team.. Definitely a ‘Fancy Dan’ side who played some great football.
That liking of Chelsea all turned to rat shit in 1971. I went to see them play Jeunesse Esch (sp?) of Luxembourg in the second leg of the European Cup Winners Cup. Chelsea had already won the first leg 8-0, and this one 13-0. What turned me was the abuse Chelsea fans were giving their own players, especially Peter Houseman. From start to finish it was incessant. I thought, then, what a bunch of arrogant, entitled tossers. Well those fans got their just desserts not long after as the club got relegated - cue for those fans to then become the most violent in the country over the next two decades.

I had a soft spot for chelsea as a kid, because my Grandad supported them. and knew the Bonnetti family.

They are 'rubbish' in terms of points per pound spent. It's all relative.
I know it’s good for us (?) but I know a fair few Chelsea fans who have migrated to supporting the Albion since we joined the PL, even to the point of “loving it” when we beat them.
Having previously crowed “I’ve been Chelsea since the 70s” I just can’t think of them as being real football fans and avoid talking about football with them.

Such is the ' global ' strength of the Big ( Greedy ) Six that none of them will be off the pace for very long.
They have been allowed to develop this position with no interference from authorities. Allowed to spend what they like, when they like and pay wages above and beyond the levels of the rest.
The PL is built round them. They feature in the majority of prime time tv slots around the world. They hoover up the majority of armchair support and thus continually increase their commercial revenue.
It is no surprise that the PL have picked on softer targets ( Everton and Forest ) They are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.
Chelsea have spent nearly a billion pounds in a short space of time and bent the rules to suit themselves. Man C have over 100 charges against them and now we hear that spending rules are going to be revised again.
I detest all these six clubs but if I had to name my least favourite of all then Chelsea would come top. I know they will bounce back but just for the moment let's revel in their discomfort.
They will beat us, as will many of our run in teams.
We've had our fun with Chelsea, if you think that's the new norm it's your issue not plastic jobbers on the socials who couldn't find Stamford Bridge if they were drinking in Franks.
After all they've beaten us twice already this season.
There is only one truism on NSC and that's the 'Tracker' thread.
With a subtleness I can only dream of @Giraffe mentioned we are due to finish 11th or 12th in a battle with Bournemouth.

It does feel like our time in the sun could be ending, however we have not become instantly shit. We are still capable of beating anyone and that is good enough for me, all things considered.

Are you certain? I know the Havertz transfer was in June, so that fee would be in last year's accounts, but Mount was in July so should be in the 23-24.
They're still f***ed mind.

I'm not so pessimistic. Bit of a drop in levels this year, but we've still done ok with a more congested fixture list and loads of injuries to key players. More importantly, we're in such a strong position going into this summer's transfer window.

I’m not sure, I think that Chelsea are ‘replaceable’ in that list, I even think that Man City are too. 3 or 4 seasons of mid-table and winning nothing would see a huge chunk of their ‘fan base’ outside the UK transition to another team. The only English clubs that are generationally engrained to cope with years in the wilderness are ManU, Liverpool and Arsenal IMO.
There was an assumption with Mason Mount, because he was announced on Manchester United's website on July 1 that [his sale] had been put into this current season.
"So the £55million of profit was in this season. It now transpires that Mason Mount appears to have been transacted in 2022/23 and that is how they got through [FFP rules]."
Host Simon Jordan said: "Which means they've now got a £55m bigger hole this season."
Borson continued: "Correct, because we also know from the BlueCo accounts that they are currently, from the post-balance sheet events, that they are something like £48m in profit for this year.
"But of course, this year from an operating perspective, is going to be even worse than last year because they've got no Champions League and no Europe at all.”
