I heard one where he was in fact Jimmy Cauty from KLF.

Not sure why he would have to be a musician or even someone in the public eye, I suppose it would help with the funding initially.

Aesthetically- terrible

But it makes a really powerful point about the loss of green habitats especially trees in our urban areas - it also makes an appropriate critique of local councils who prune trees to an inch of their life and make them look deformed and ugly.

I've interpreted it as we need to clean up our act before the only green we see around trees is paint behind it. That's quite deep from me for a Monday night. 😂

I can assure you that Banksy is not Jimmy Cauty.

It can only apply to city areas 95% of the UK is rural loads of natural countryside.
There is very little ’natural’ countryside left in the UK. Nearly 70% of rural areas is given over to intensive farming - monoculture that destroys habit and has caused up to a 75% decline in bird species over the last 30 years - and by 2050 will have destroyed around 25% of habitats for some 1,300 indigenous species as pressure for food production for a rising population increases. As far as urban declines, of ‘529 urban species assessed in the UK, 37 are considered at risk of extinction’.

We absolutely need to ‘clean up our act’.

Anyone else would get arrested for graffiti
Well no actually. There is some fantastic graffiti in Brighton and some brilliant street artists. They don't get arrested and neither should they. It brightens up the city and adds vibrancy.

Graffiti is art.

"Tagging" on the other hand is vandalism and taggers should get nicked. (A "tagger" is usually a child with no artistic talent who just spray their names or initials anywhere (and often over the top of real street art)).
