[Albion] Live commentary at the ground

Is there a way that people listen to commentary at the ground? I’m surprised it isn’t more of a thing in the same way it is with cricket.

My wife mentioned it yesterday when trying to work out parts of the game as an infrequent football goer.

Portable radios, if it's on, er, radio?

The club used to provide an in-stadium commentary service for the visually impaired. Not sure if that is still a thing, and if so, if anyone can access it.

Best way would be Radio Sussex on FM. It would have the fastest transmission. DAB is delayed slightly whilst anything via the internet would have a long delay.
Good old fashioned transistor radio and headphones, just like the old days.
Also Radio Sussex via BBC Sounds.

Even with FM radio there is a 25 second delay between what is going on pitchside to the Commentary.
I think you're getting mixed up with listening to FM commentary (Radio Sussex/BBCFive Live/Talk Sport) via the internet on your mobile.
If you listen on a DAB sports radio to any of the above stations the delay is only about 4 seconds.

It's quite handy listening to Radio Sussex with Johnny and Warren who are commentating from a biased Brighton perspective and helpfully fill in the blanks with VAR decisions that might be about to be made or have been reviewed. Also discussions when substitutions need to made.
It also blocks out the old farts behind me who repeatedly say, "stop fannying around and just clear it!"

Two problems. BBC Sounds is via the internet plus BBC Sussex football is not on the internet.
I’m a little confused!

I listened to Radio Sussex commentary on the internet last week ???

I know you can’t get it outside the UK, maybe you’re abroad?

I've come back home.

I think that has changed this season, I assume due to changes in broadcasting rights. You can definitely get Radio Sussex football on BBC sounds app or through an Alexa etc.

That is interesting. I would listen on Google Home but usually it's blocked with the stupid copyright message. So if it's never blocked I can cast to Google Home from the sounds app. How ridiculous!
