I thought it was a yellow personally.
I also thought their guy should’ve been sent off for a second yellow.

That's also what I think. Any higher up the leg and it would have been a red. WBG's one was higher up as was the donkey from ManU the same day. One was a red and one wasn't.

Decent argument the other way. Not sure it warranted a yellow but the little nibble before made in half a second later than he would have been.
the little nibble on Moder wasn’t worthy of a yellow but did make him arrive maybe half a second later than he would have done. Might have also been a deciding factor in VAR

I think you may be right but it's a new nonsense get out. They used that on sky ref watch to suggest why Gilmore went but Maguire survived. For me today that's a sending off all day long

Going by what Gallagher says every week on Ref Watch it's a yellow due only to the height on the yellow. We've seen a lot of these recently. However, I think it should be a red regardless of height as he's out of control and lunging. But, BUT, we are absolutely due one of these going in our favour so it's a bit of payback.
The thing with the nibble on Moder was that it was petulant after the ball had long gone - those are usually yellows, even though the contact ended up being less than it could have been. Moder should have just gone down

I was astonished it wasn't upgraded, still am. Off the ground, nowhere near the ball, catches him flush on the ankle.

No question in my mind, a straight red, and we'd be screaming for policemen if that was the other way around.
Bearing that in mind, Forest should have had a man sent off, for a second yellow card offence, so it kinda balances things out, overall.

Wow, got lucky. Hard to find anything to mitigate against a red. Surely the height shouldn't be relevant when it's off the ground and out of control?
