Attended a PCASO testing event this afternoon - fantastically well organised, was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Recommended (they also have home testing kits available to order).

At the Belmont Centre, Uckfield. If so I'd like to echo the organisation comments,, absolutely brilliant, I was in and out in 5 mins too.

Just a bit of history, thanks to a post on NSC I went for a test when I was 60, 4 years ago, and the results were 1.32 and in the green zone, fast forward to a year ago (aged 63) and the test results were again in the green zone but had gone up to 2.10. As the results had gone up they recommended a 2 year wait until the next test.

Didn't think anything of it, but I recently had an invitation to have another test (only a year had passed since the last one) and as I had been having a couple of symptoms, I took them up on it and attended this afternoons testing centre in Uckfield. Should get the results in the next week.

Biopsy this morning, not looking forward to it but will be good to know what exactly is going on down there.
Best of luck, I was very apprehensive before mine, not anywhere near as bad as I thought, and told me I needed a prostatectomy, which, in turn, has saved my life. Good luck pal, as always, here to chat with anyone if they wish.

Just back home , found it absolutely horrendous to be honest. Lost count of anesthetic they injected to stop the sharp pain . Doctor says prostate is abnormal and seems to think its probably cancer but need to get results back. Got another MRI scan to go through to check bones. Should know morning 2 weeks. Thanks for your messages, must appreciated

You have my sympathies... I nearly went through the ceiling when they gave me the local anesthetic. Good luck and stay positive. It's totally wrong that they have speculated on the prognosis before the biopsy results are fully analysed.

Best wishes - hopefully the docs assumption is wrong but even if it isn't, there are loads of examples on here of people who have been through this and come out the other side so try to stay positive.

Yes totally agree about biopsy doc giving their opinion.
Tests on biopsies are taken under strict lab protocols not speculation.
