Perfect, this is what I thought.
A friend in Milan has told me due to Italo being a private company as well, we are unlikely to find their services on the guaranteed lists but they usually run with a minimal disruption due to them using public train lines.
So hopefully the trains to Naples on the Friday morning will be fine.

What's the deal with taxis on the Friday? Are they part of the strike? Or is it just that they'll be harder to find as more people will need them?
Only taxi but nothing arranged.

The Leonardo service to Fiumicino is guaranteed during strikes and other disruption.
In exceptional circumstances that guarantee is a replacement bus. I'm hoping exceptional means problems with the line, not strikes - but we're going for an earlier train than planned just in case (Rome traffic and all). If we have too long at the airport we'll find breakfast/beer somewhere.
We pre-booked for the Friday morning. Will buy for the way into Rome once we land, as we have plenty of time and flex that day, and might choose another option e.g. bus to look around a bit.
Am I the only person going to the other airport (CIA) ?
Anyone know if the trains are running to that if I can't get a cab ?
Apparently it's a 50 minute cycle from my hotel so if things get reallllly desperate......

if no trains you can get the subway out to the end of the A line (stop is Anagnina) and get bus from there. Its about 20 mins on the subway and ten min bus

Italo: No strikes are scheduled. He recommended checking on the website in the led up to the 8th uncase of a change.

Indeed. I did it at the weekend (irony of having two rome trips within 10 days..) and it worked ok. Tubes there are super cheap and easy to navigate
We're doing Fiumicino to Linate on Friday afternoon, and have 5 hours to get across Milan to Malpensa and fly home to Gatwick.
Booked a hire car (automatic) expecting a stupid price - especially with different pick-up and drop-off points - but only £35!
For the three of us, that's cheaper than the train between both airports even if it's running.
Should be a 5-seater, so may have a couple of spare seats if anyone's in the same boat.

I've read here that Flixbus (and other shuttle companies) are running a full service on 8th March.

Just booked mine, Turin was cheapest so taking a 5 hour trip up there on Friday morning 
No mention of a strike anywhere (booked with Omio) so will cross that bridge when I get there. Hoping the fact I chose the earlier train at 8.10 means it falls in the timeframe of essential services running.
To be honest I just want to get there, not bothered about getting back.
