Sean here from City Light Tours Rome.

For years I’ve been organising a more relaxed way for away football fans coming to Italy for a good safe time while supporting their teams.

This is not my first rodeo and I’m not here only for money. European games can be quite overwhelming in foreign cities and an expensive 2/3 days with flights, hotels and match tickets - you should be able to relax and have a great time.

Over the years we’ve brought Man City, Liverpool, Leicester, Spurs and many other European teams to Italian stadiums on time - relaxed, and then a safe return home without any worry or hassle.

We’ll be arranging 2/3 private coaches to the Stadium on match day and a drop off in a large bar with music afterwards without any admission problems.

Anyone with any questions please feel free to ask me here or on watsapp

Even if you’ve no interest in our buses you are still most welcome to ask any other questions you might have.

Also, with the train strike on Friday, those of you (probably 100ish) flying in through Pisa and flying out Friday the 8th - should enough of you be in need we’ll happily get a small/large coach to bring you up (3.5-4hrs) to Pisa airport.

We are booked on the Frecciarossa train from Rome to Milan at 7:50 Friday morning 8th March, when there is a strike. Do you know if these trains are likely to run and, if not, can you offer any alternatives please as we see you are offering possible coaches to Pisa Airport.?

Unfortunately around the city no. Just heads up in the smaller streets and I’d recommend anyone wanting to check out the nice neighbourhoods of Trastevere,Monti or Parioli do it Wednesday day time.

These place avoid on Wednesday night.
Good Irish pubs in Rome but just be wary.
Rome is well policed and very safe but every city has those few that nobody needs or wants.

However,the tracks do belong to the state and you should expect some delays.
The train usually 3hrs but there has been works going on in Florence lately which you pass and both times I’ve been up north recently I got stuck there for 1.5/2hrs.
Monday I’ll check all and keep you all updated. I offered Pisa as it’s they don’t have the private high speed trains and if need be with enough of you in need we can help you guys back to Milan on Friday too

Unfortunately you guys have the six nations weekend so prices are higher than usually.
If you are planning to have a beer or 2 after the game and have a very early train just grab a place near termini as there is more competition over there and rooms are cheaper.
If you want something a little nicer I can suggest a few places.
Personally I wouldn’t spend 2/300 a night to sleep 5/6 hours. We are all different and if you’d prefer something a little more upmarket just send an email here and we’ll give you some options- Info@Citylightstours.com
On Sunday we’ll also through up a tip/info Rome page for all Brighton fans with some choices of bars and restaurants

Have a look at booking.com in around ‘Termini’
It’s ok to stay for some beers but important to be close to the train station as in the morning you won’t find a taxi because of the strike.

Sean. You mentioned pick up near the Vatican. As there are many staying in the train terminal area, any chance of pick up there. Similar with post match bar. Would be great to be together safely in a bar, but it could be a long way from our hotel. Staying Via Carlo Alberto area.
