Saw Ren busking on the streets of Brighton years ago. Saw him again in a tiny basement room venue for Great Escape just before covid. To go from there to a #1 album, as an independent artist at that, is some feat.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

The star, who cannot play live due to health issues, beats Drake and Rick Astley in the album charts.

Really pleased for him as a person, musician and independent, and hope he's back playing soon

Definitely is. I had originally ordered a limited edition CD but had nothing to play it on. He then announced a vinyl release so cancelled the CD and got the vinyl. Album is great if that's what you're into

This is brilliant too. But more than tha, read the comments below. Never has a youtube comment section been so positive. The man is single handedly healing humanity.

My personal favourite is the guy questioning why he wells up every time her hears Ren and signing of with 'I'm supposed to be a geezer'

Agree I'm 70 and love the different genres he covers as said special.Like to give a shout out to Brighton singer Scarlett Fae who's appearing at the Old Market on the 7th March fabulous voice and songwriting.
