Falmer, soon...
If you ignore the Barcelona history and trust your eyes, he is a promising young talent who has flashes of potential.
I think the frustration is that he appears languid, lacking the explosiveness and burst power of some of our other forwards. It feels like he isn't playing in the Premier league yet in terms of intensity but his positioning and understanding of the system is improving.

All of this of course is entirely reasonable given his injury history. It feels like he's playing within himself.

I think we'll see him step up as he gets consistent games

Sorry but I don’t see world class …..

Unlikely you will until he loses his nervousness about getting injured again, which will only come with game time without injuries. Look at Tariq, how long has it taken him to get back up to speed and resemble the player we signed?

If he doesn’t get the consistent game time I doubt we’ll even see him at his best before he goes back to Barcelona

I actually thought we stepped up the pace when he came on. First time in a long time our subs seemed to inject pace in the game.

For a while we were just going through the motions ficking the ball about happy with 2 then Igor and fati came on and our game speeded up such that they couldn’t live with us at all

If Barca would allow it I would hope we can keep fati for another year as I do think he has it, especially in European games where he has been class.

I think this is where he has and will be most valuable. Especially when you are up against it and need a pacey and calm finisher.

Worthing
Yep….but not ‘anonymous’
Agree.

I actually thought he was poor against Spurs, lost the ball cheaply and really didn’t add much.

However, he wouldn’t be with us, if he didn’t need games and that is exactly what he needs. Similar to the Moder thread, you cannot expect a player post injury to hit the ground at the same point at which they got injured.

He’s not as good an attacking player as Mitoma or Adingra but he’s decent - hopefully he stays injury free now and can show us something

de Zerbi knows he is a lot better than he is showing of late (same with Pervis) which is why he is pushing them to show more. Before his injury it had clicked and he looked a real player but like Pervis struggled to recapture his pre injury form
Exactly, and why De Zerbi was making sure they both eat well...
