My brother was on the sound engineering team for that album.

One of the first reviews simply said “which one, stop or eject?”
Kudos to Guinness Brother. Harsh, but funny, review. Personally, I have loved them for a few decades now.

They are fantastic.

Hipster bloke had them as his specialist subject on Mastermind on Monday just gone. I got TWO right. That’s the best I’ve ever done on a specialist round.

Looks like the moderators have limited my account so that it is so slow that I can't use it effectively.

So, I guess, it's goodbye from me.

Why not just ban me (for not doing anything wrong, as far as I'm aware, other than you not liking me)... rather than making it almost impossible for me to access the site. It's pretty cowardly - as if you don't want NSC to know that you have the power to silence people without the rest of the user base knowing?
i hardly think a Bjork poll is going to precipitate that old boy ....chin up

I remember seeing them perform at Brixton academy and then going onto The End to see Laurent Garnier. That was some night….and next day.

IMO (an oldish man view):
- Debut was a fantastic album, I love it
- other albums have a couple of great songs buried in eccentric musings

Harsh! Galvanize is a certified banger.

Bjork? I'd considered myself a long-time fan but I've seen her live twice, and she was frigging terrible both times.

Bjork.... produced her best stuff in my formative years, liked debut, but ultimately always thought it was 'alright', but nothing special, with a fair amount of weird wailing .... but then saw her live headlining Phoenix festival and she was absolutely brilliant, the way she combined her unique singing style with a dance beat has stuck with me forever, and now I won't hear a bad word said about her xx

Foreme the first two albums were stunning.

Considering how much people drool over something something Drake (?), and Syd Barrett, and all three generations of the family of singers who all died in mysterious drowning accidents (name escapes me as, thankfully, does their music).....Bjork's first two albums, alone, are worth ticket entry into the 'greatest of all time' jamboree, raffle and duck-for-an-apple event.

More than a quarter of a century ago? Sounds about right.

Got way too self-indulgent since, sadly. In fact, her most-recent UK performance was beatless.
