[Football] FA Cup games no longer (exclusively) on terrestrial TV

Just to add, because this Tweet was slightly misleading and I know folk don't read every post where I/others have added detail...

TNT will have first dibs on games and will show LOADS of them, but some matches from each round will be shown on terrestrial (presumably BBC or ITV; let's hope C4 don't get it).

In fact, TNT say all non- Sat 3pm games will be shown - which could mean lots of moved games.

The final HAS to be free-to-air. Remains to be seen if it's merely free on TNT and/or actually on a terrestrial channel.

As you were.

If you move to Indonesia its even easier, and the weather is a lot nicer :)
I'll have you know that here, in the Garden of England, the sun shines 24* hours a day ???

*And when the clocks go backward, 25 ???

Excellent. I will see if my 92 year old father in law would like to immigrate. As he has no idea how to use sky etc these days and only just manages to get bbc and itv for the football as it’s the only games he watches.

excellent news for subscribers

not so much for the aged..still who cares eh! They are old and have had their lives

Once again I'm just trying to be helpful, I'm not a shill for TNT and fully understand not everyone can take advantage of emigrating to Indonesia to avoid this shite news.... :(

Isn't this just what it was like a few years ago? When BT and ITV split the rights?

So much greed, they couldn’t just leave us with one semi-decent cup competition, it had to be monetised to the maximum possible degree.

Sometimes this country’s inability to stand up to invasive capitalism makes me angry.

The days of flat caps and a pipe are even further into the past. The less well off continue to be priced out - so pleased football is in such a healthy state.
