Slow Horses is great. And this has potential to be fantastic.

There’s some good stuff hidden away on Apple.

It’s my “seasonal channel”

I subscribe for two or three months a year to catch up on their good content and then bin it off again. Usually switch over to Disney for a while.

No doubt as with all modern war films, all the planes are computer generated and no actual plane appears.

I currently don't subscribe to Apple TV, and therefore will wait and see how the series is received when it airs. I really enjoyed Band Of Brothers, but found The Pacific disappointing in comparison.

I was going to bin off Apple but my TV podcast chaps reckon there's some excellent content coming this year, so have kept it for the time being.

Dunno why this thread is always so hard to find:-

Hope it is more technically accurate than what has gone before but knowing Spielberg it will a tale of how the Mighty 8th came over and saved the bombing campaign - I'll bet we don't get any mention of the RAF or see a Lancaster. :down:

I wish I could be frivolous and have the lot, I’ve even seen stuff on Discovery + I’d like , but same as you I dive in and out of subscriptions and just have prime and Netflix, I know your a man who loves a good war film, well by sheer fluke I found ‘ Wolfes Calling’ although the title is in French , it’s a modern day Submarine thriller about the French Navy, it has subtitles but is superb 👍

Greyhound, with Tom Hanks and the wonderful Stephen Graham, is also worth a watch. A WW2 film about naval escort of Atlantic convoy.

Slow Horses is absolutely amazing. Probably the best show I've seen for years.
Very much looking forward to Masters of the air too.
