Bloody racists
Do you have evidence for that?

I would say being knocked out of AFCON was the reason wouldn’t you?

Btw - half my family is from Ghana - I can assure you Ghanaians aren’t ‘racists’ - at least the many I have met!

Think about it.

How could a majority black nation sack a black manager on racism grounds?

Then you'll realise you got whooshed!!

Blocked Kudus for West Ham AND released Lamptey back to us? Agent Chris did well.

Do feel sorry for Ghana though. A talented generation failing to deliver again. Wobbly World Cup qualification too.

Apologies. It was, as has been mentioned, me taking the p*ss out of the many pundits that accused Brighton of racism for sacking Chris. I was not accusing anyone in Ghana of racism.

Just in time for the Palace job?
That would be interesting.
Think I'm right in saying we've never seen him since his sacking here. Saw Gus (think it was Spurs) doing TV and he made a thing of walking in front of the away fans. But never seen Chris doing TV at a ground. Would be nice to say a 'thanks' in person.

Agent Chris didn't do so well for us once he got there though - Ghana's feeble capitulation the other day, almost certainly means that Ayew will be back for Palace next week, whilst Simon Adingra will NOT be back with us...

I'm very sorry, but I cannot provide evidence for this.

Speaking very generally, there are plenty enough differences between various "black" people throughout Africa for that to happen and it not surprise me.

Edit: To be clear, I am not repeat NOT suggesting that this is why Hughton has been sacked.

My son thanked him in person last year at the best of Africa awards. Lovely fella said he likes RDZ wasn’t to keen on Potter for various reasons. Shock my lads hand and said good man.

Nor was I to be clear - in my response to Peter’s post above #167 but presumably Peter didn’t realise CH was half white when he posted his comments .

There’s also enough whites in Africa for mixed race people to be victims from white people too btw. Many people still can’t entertain the idea that mixed race people can be subject to racism from all sides - The Irish/ Ghanaian social campaigner, Kwajo Tweneboa has spoken out on this many times and says growing up he was immersed in black culture but he has been to Ghana and been called a ‘white boy’.

While Chris was definitely not sacked from Brighton or I very much doubt from the Ghana team because of racism, he has been at the forefront quite rightly in highlighting where racism and stereotyping still exists and has said it can take generations to ‘get that out of everybody’s DNA’

I hope he finds a great position - perhaps he’ll compete with Potter for the same PL club or even England next year … 😂

GHANA GONER.

Pleeease can this thread not be derailed into a race thing, which it clearly isn't?!?

I see Lee Carsley is the favourite for the Ireland job. Given his lack of experience in senior management having someone like Hughton around could be useful.

Having a Head Coach used to U23 players and having an ex-Albion legend as his Assistant could be the perfect combination for the wave of Albion's Irish kids that could well form the backbone of the side for the next decade.

Based on watching his Forest team - I'd be very surprised if he got a job in the PL, or the championship for that matter.
Although I guess there's more scope for completely berwilding decisions the further down you go.
