Nor do I for its own sake and not sure what the ‘prestige’ thing is about - but every goal not conceded helps our GD - as it stands tonight, that’s the difference between 7th and 8th place.
My thinking is that we are an attacking team and letting 1 or 2 in should be accompanied by us scoring more.

Our lack of goals is more of a worry for me than our lack of clean sheets.

Still what a time to be a Brighton fan.

Wolves very organised at the back.
Didn't commit miore than 3 to any of their breaks.

Very happy with the clean sheet, as that looked an archetypal 0-1 , when we over -commit
That was the thing. When their breaks broke down, they already had seven men behind the ball making it hard to get through or behind them.
And of course they will look more dangerous having the space to run into, we we were never afforded.
That said, I thought we became very predictable after a good first 15 minutes.
A goal early on would have changed the game.

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi to TNT Sports: "I am disappointed by the result, I think we deserved to win. But Wolves are a very good team with good players, especially in attack, we have a big respect for them.

"We deserved to win, we played a good game and made one, two mistakes in the first half where we could score. I think we played very well.

"We have to adapt depending on the players. Without Mitoma or Enciso or Fati or Adingra or March we can't play with wingers and we have to change the tactical position on the pitch. We have to find a different solution.

"The transfer market is not my business, my business is to organise my players. I think we played well. [On signings], you'll have to ask the club.

"We have the target to be in the top 10. I think we are doing very well, I think we are happy."

What on earth was that clown doing in the first half? Went down in extreme agony like he'd torn every ligament in his body. Then when the trainer showed complete disinterest in coming on to attend to him, a team mate hauled him to his feet and off he jogged like nothing had happened. Very odd :lolol:

Technically, a goal at any point during the match would have changed the game.

Brighton midfielder James Milner to TNT Sports: "We didn't create enough in the final third, we had plenty of the ball but it's disappointing. We couldn't create a clear-cut chance but sometimes it is that way. The spark wasn't there.

"We weren't sharp in front of goal. A clean sheet is important and with the firepower we have up front we normally get on the scoresheet. Clean sheets are good habits to get into.

"The game is the biggest thing toinght, games wise I've hopefully got a few more in me. I've had some luck, I've worked hard and you have to enjoy it to put the work in every day. I've been fortunate to play for some great clubs."

Are Wolves a low block team?

To me they seemed better than that, when we got the ball (and moved it painfully slowly), they squeezed the space, but that was in a band that could be anywhere up to the centre line. With several players on both wings overlapping when they countered at pace.

Low block refers to a defensive set up where a team cedes territory, camped out en masse in their defensive third. Dyche, Simeone, Carvalhal all liked to park the bus.

Feels like our target/expectations have dropped. However, top 10 would still be an incredible achievement - considering our injuries.

Until we get our wide players back , or get some new ones in , we are always going to struggle getting behind teams ,
our lack of pace was very evident today , you could see the pace Wolves had especially in the second half and looked very dangerous on the break , , we have been a defensive midfielder short all season and showed again today ,
Second half today didn’t create one chance but looked very vulnerable to losing one

Agreed. We are sometimes caught out fannying around at the back but tonight we were doing it in their penalty area. Everyone seemed to want an extra touch.

2 dropped. You know it, everyone knows it
Not entirely sure I agree. Wolves are a decent side, could and probably have scored, and we simply didn't create enough to deserve more than a point. And Wolves are not Burnley or Sheff Utd, they are a much better side. I say we take the deserved and fair point against a decent side and be pleased that we are now on five match unbeaten run.( or 1 loss v Arsenal in 9).
